Up for auction is a well desired 1962 ChevyII Nova. Not a show car by any means but very nicely presents itself. It is an original Texas car was bought in Lubbock and I bought it from the original owner's family in Lubbock. It has had a mild restoration. The engine is a later style 350 V8 paired with a 2 speed power glide automatic transmission. Starts up and runs great transmission shifts as it should. Has new edelbrock performer intake with new edlebrock 600cfm performer carburetor it has manifold style exhaust the mufflers are dual glasspacks, electronic ignition (no points). The car is a beautiful blue I would rate the paint job a 7 out of 10 not perfect but nice driver quality. The chrome has been shaved from the sides of the car to give it a nice smooth hot rod look. The old chrome trim holes were welded and grinded down then coated with glaze for minimal filler use. It doesn't have the chrome emblems that go on the upper rear quarters or the correct chrome emblems that go on the lower portion of the front fenders to indicate V8 but the holes are there for them shouldn't be hard or expensive to find them. As far as rust goes the front floor pans have been replaced however it does have a small spot at the bottom of the drivers door where the paint has bubbled and a spot on the right rear just above the tire where the paint is also bubbled hasn't got any worse since painted 3 years ago. The interior is blue in color has custom fitted bucket seats in front with matching rear seats. The door panels are in great condition. All gauges work properly, has added oil pressure gauge below dash for more accurate reading, blower motor works all speeds, even comes with the factory stereo it will need a new headliner installed. The windows all roll up and down with ease including the rear windows. All of the glass is in good condition no cracks or chips. Both doors open and close with little effort. Weather seals have been replaced around both doors also has a new windshield seal, rear glass seal and deck lid seal. The trunk compartment is nice and clean has been coated with an undercoating material for a nice finished look also a sound absorber. The engine compartment is very nice and clean as well. It has some chrome and has been nicely detailed. All lights work including high/low beam, brake lights, turn signals, etc. wipers work as well. New brakes all around including shoes, wheel cylinders, hoses, and master cylinder. The Fuel tank is new also has new sending unit. The wheels are center line brand 8" in the rear 4" runners in front brand new tires never seen the highway! Also included in the sale is a 2" bolt on fiberglass cowl induction hood painted to match the car but will need clean up has been in storage. This car is going to make someone very happy!
