Selling my 1965 Ford mustang fastback. I bought the car about five years ago drive it a few times and decided to remove the interior and repair some places in the floor pans and the car ended up on blocks until 2 weeks ago due to buying a business and being to busy to work on it. The car is a 1965 Fastback Vin# 5F09A376590 with 136141 miles on it. Its does have a 289 4 barrel engine and automatic transmission that as far as I know are original. When I bought the car I knew very little about mustangs so I did some quick research on what to look for and when I poured water in the cowl and nothing came inside the car and looked underneath and saw that they had stripped almost the entire undercarriage and there was no real rust, all the suspension including the rear end, leaf springs, shocks front and rear, A-arms, I bought the car. After purchasing the car brought it home drive it a few times and started to play with it I found some rust in the front floor pans where the turn up and in the rear pans where the emergency brake cables are located so I bought replacement pans and trimmed out only the small pieces I needed and welded those in and repainted the floors. While doing the pans I installed sub frame connectors and the car sat for years before getting back to it a few months ago. When I bought the car the paint was ok but on some of the edges and front valance and headlight buckets it was peeling in big flakes so a couple of months ago I repainted the front end (hood, doors, valance, fenders etc.) the paint is ok but there is some trash in the paint so I am saying the car needs paint and as you can see in the pictures on the rear you can see the paint flaking on the rear corners and around the rear quarter vents. For right now as you can see in the pictures from 10 feet away you cannot see where we taped off and the car looks great. So I reassembled the car over the last few weekends and decided I don't have time to do what I want with it and it does not need to sit for another six years so time for it to go. Again the car starts runs drives and sounds so good with the exhaust that is on it which is headers into a cross system with mufflers that dump down right in front of the rear axle. As you can see from the pictures the car has the GT fog lights which do work and has the GT valance on the rear. The car will need painted and the undercarriage coated or painted and need to be gone over the doors stick on opening sometimes and there are some squeaks and rattles. It has drum brakes which are new, the stock intake and 4 barrel carb, no power steering or power brakes. I do not know any history of any owners other than the one I purchased the car from who seemed to do like me worked on the car did a lot of parts replacement but never drove it. As you can see in the pictures the carpet is new, the interior in good condition except for the tear in the drivers seat and there is a radio that works and the dash is un-cut. I have had a couple of mustang guys locally look at the car and they were all amazed at the condition of the car and lack of rust so previous owners like me must have kept the car stored inside. The car is being sold as is with no warranty so please look closely at the pictures and ask any questions. I require a $1000 deposit with in 12 hours of the end of the auction and payment in cash ONLY with in 4 days of end of auction. I have set a fair reserve on the car which I will not reveal so please don't ask, I am not interested in any trades of any type and I have offered the car to some friends and family so reserve the right to end auction at any time.
