Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevy Camaro Are you ready to own one of the most desirable Muscle Cars in history - a '69 Camaro? This is a 1969 Chevy Camaro that has been extremely well preserved (garaged and not running for the last 19 years) and has only recently been brought back to life with all-new engine & drivetrain components. This "time-capsule" Camaro is a RUST-FREE California car that has been in a Southern California garage for about half of its life! In the interest of offering an extremely clear description with NO SURPRISES, I have included more than 60 photos so you can get a clear view of every inch of this car. Hot Rod Magazine Cover Car When you own this Camaro, you will own the Camaro that was featured on the cover of the May 2009 Hot Rod Magazine - BARN FINDS edition. I bought this Camaro in 2009 from a private party in Southern California. The car had been sitting (in pieces) in their garage for 16 years. During my ownership, the car has been a slow-moving project but has always been garaged. The body is very straight with NO RUST. In the course of getting this Camaro running, we have added a ton of new parts to the engine and drivetrain. Here is the work we did: Rebuilt the 350 engine & TH350 transmission. New front disc brakes, including new rotors, calipers, bearings, hoses, pads. New brake master cylinder. New front suspension & steering components, including tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks, polyurethane suspension and subframe bushings. New Koni adjustable shocks in rear. Parking brake cable support hanger is missing. All other brake components are new or in good condition. This Camaro's engine now runs GREAT and STRONG, though it still needs an exhaust. The interior is very clean with very minimal wear, if any. (Note: I later found the trim piece that goes around the trans lever - see below at the later pics which show it) d Also, the rear wheels / tires are a bit wide for the fenders, so there would definitely be tire rub if the car were to be driven. We were going to tub it, but ran out of time. This means that the car must be trailered / towed to your home, it cannot be driven. Thanks for looking - Good luck!
