Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this 1973 Oldsmobile 88 Royale with 81k original one owner miles. This was my grandmothers car and I am selling it for the estate and will list what I know about it. It is a 4-door sedan with nice interior with no tears, no cracks in dash, only minor wear as would be expected for it's age. Vinyl top in great shape. It has been garaged most it's life and has been taken out of storage just recently to be sold. It has the legendary rocket 455 4bbl. engine. It starts right up and sounds great and is quiet when running and the transmission shifts normal with no trouble. I drove it around about 50 miles and it still rides nice as it should. I wouldn't be afraid of it mechanically at all, but the tires are old even though they do hold air. I looked the car over and I think the only rust is on the pass. side rear quarter and isn't a hole yet, just bubble cracked...see photos. The paint has some scratches and flaws and rock chips around lower fenders as my grandma had to drive 1 1/2 miles dirt road to get to highway. Some of the rubber mouldings on bumpers are damaged and the wheel opening mouldings are dinged. Car is in good condition considering it's almost 40 yrs. old. It has A/C, AM FM radio, Power bench seat, Cruise control, and Tilt column to name some options. Owners manual and factory jack with spare tire are still there. There are two things needing attention: the A/C has line pressure, but the compressor didn't kick on. Not sure what it could be. 2nd thing is the brake light is on and the pedal is soft. It does have brakes and does stop, feels like a bad booster. I think both problems can be an easy fix for someone. Overall it is a Good running classic built to last and rides great and will hold the whole family or a car load of Buddies on a road trip! Be sure and check out all the photos and ask questions and I will try to answer. Bid to win. A $500.- deposit is required after purchase within 48hrs. Car can sit for a short time to allow pickup or delivery arrangements after purchase. Full payment in 7 days unless arrangement is made prior to pickup. Thanks and happy bidding
