Vehicle Detail
I bought this vehicle locally over the Summer, partly because it looked badass, but I was hoping to get into off-road adventures. Well my wife and I went to South Dakota and my wife would not let me take it, or her, off the pavement...not even a gravel road. So I soon found out this was not the vehicle for us. Anyway, let's get to the good stuff! Upgrades: Currie Ford 9" front end, 4:56 gears, heavy duty tie rod assembly, ARB Airlocker: $5134 Golen 4.6L Stroker Engine (Golen is well known for Jeep engines), the engine had 9000 miles on it when I bought it and I put on about 4000 more: $3500 Atlas II 4.3 Transfer Case (best of the best): $2200 Dana 44 rear axle with ARB airlocker: $800 Skyjacker 9" Suspension: $2500 Warn 9500i winch: $1100 Centerforce dual-friction clutch: $400 Air-Raid air flow $110 Expedition Roof Rack with Thule Roof Rack Carrier (this is not pictured on the vehicle as I removed it so the Jeep could fit in my garage, it's solid but has surface rust): $900 Moromoto Racing Aluminum Radiator: $440 62mm Throttle Body: $250 High Speed Starter: $156 Custom Exhaust: $243 37x12.50 Goodyear Tires: $1085 Rebuildable Skyjacker Rod Ends: $1216 New Brakes all round, rotors, wheel cylinders, bearings, ball joints, custom brake lines: $1748 installed MSD Ignition: $300 New water pump, throw out bearing: $1300 installed Bestop Sailcloth Soft Top with Tinted Windows: $560 Cost of other extras( include Bilstein Shocks, JRS Quick Disconnects, Special Motor Mounts, and a variety of other high performance items): $14,144 Total: $38,086 in aftermarket parts and upgrades Cost of Jeep: $21,700 Labor Expenses: ?? Total Investment: $59786 plus labor expenses-----I put $45,000 invested in the title because I could not verify what the previous owner had installed when he listed "Cost of Extras-$14,144" (the last item in my list of upgrades), so I'll still stick with $45,000+ to be safe. And let me clarify, I don't have this much invested. The owner I bought the Jeep from bought it new and he had these upgrades and updates installed. I haven't put a penny into it other than oil changes and a tire rotation. Although I do have plenty invested into the purchase price of the Jeep. The previous owner was very meticulous and I have a huge folder with all his service work and other paperwork. I changed the oil and had the tires rotated when I bought it and just had the oil changed again recently, after 3000 miles. The previous owner used this as his daily driver, he had custom driveshafts made to eliminate vibration at highway speeds. He told me a story about when he joined a Jeep club, he showed up in Colorado and the guys asked him how he got it there. He told them that he drove it. They thought he was joking but to their amazement, he did. There are not many Jeeps setup up for the type of off-roading that he was able to do, and also be driven safely on the road. But that's how he had it designed. He is in his 50's now and can safely say that he did not abuse it. I watched some videos of his climbs, and simply put, Amazing! Hardcore offroad capabilities, Moab and Colorada tested (10 trips, no breakdowns) I'd also like to add that this Jeep has never been mud-bogging or anything close to it. The vehicle is in overall great condition for the year, but remember, it is 13 years old and does have blemishes. It has hail damage on the hood, the driver seat is wore on the side from getting in and out, there is a small patch of surface rust on the rear, (not severe, I didn't even know it was there until taking pictures today, not rust colored, just starting to bubble, and the spare tire hides it pretty good), the rims, mounts for the roof rack and rear bumber are showing a little rust (nothing a sandblaster and a fresh coat can't take care of), cruise control does not work, and the driver side carpet is wore through from the driver's heel. The Check Engine Light is on, I am not sure what the code is, but the previous owner assured me it was just from the upgrades that he did. I have had absolutely zero problems with it. After writing all this down, it seems like a lot, but I can assure you it isn't. These are nothing major and the vehicle has way more good qualities than bad. Some of these blemishes I probably would not have had to list, but wanted you to bid on this as comfortably as possible, knowing everything. Be sure to check the AutoCheck above. This vehicle scores a 92 when the average for this year, make, and model is 59. Tires are in good condition, runs and drives great, and ice cold A/C. Any mechanical problems that may occur over a 13 year period of time, the previous owner had taken care of. I strive for 100% feedback and try to list the vehicle the best I can. I feel that I have listed this vehicle as accurate as possible, but please, for both our sakes, if you have any questions, please ask before bidding. But you will not be disappointed. I have sold other vehicles and motorcycles on here with 100% feedback. Be sure to check out my feedback. Thanks in advance and happy bidding!!
