This Jaguar XJ12 is being sold as is, where is. This is a non running vehicle. We purchased this vehicle in 2004. It always ran great and was a pleasure to drive. We didn't have any problems with the car until..... In August 2008, my wife took the car to goodyear to have a tire repaired (it had a slow leak). While they were repairing the tire, they took some parts off of the engine and brought them to my wife and asked if they could replace them. She told them no and to stop taking parts off of her car, that she had come in for a tire repair. They put the parts back and she started back home. She stopped for gas on the way home, and as she pulled out of the gas station, the car died and has not run since. The car would turnover, but would not start. We took it to a mechanic and he called the next day and said the engine was locked up and needed to be replaced. I told him the engine was turning over just fine the day before, he reiterated that the engine was seized. I picked up the car and took it to another mechanic who again stated the engine was seized. I brought the car home and sure enough the engine would nolonger turn over. Suspecting fowl play, I began the process of pulling the engine. When I disconnected the fuel lines, they were full of water. I was then diagnosed with cancer and never finished pulling the engine. The car has been setting in my shop since then. This car was always serviced (oil changes etc..) at the Jag dealer until we moved here where there is no Jag dealer. It has Pirelli tires all around, the factory Harmon Kardon stereo, jag 6 disc cd changer, good interior and straight body. It has a few minor scratches in the paint. It has never been in an accident since we have owned it. It has always been garaged even after it quit running. It comes with the owners manual and a digital shop manual and parts manual. All of the engine parts that have been removed are with the car except the battery. It is a beautiful car for the right person who could either repair the engine or replace it with a V-8 kit. Do not bid if you do not want this car. All sales are final. Buyer is responsible for pickup. I can help load it if needed. I could POSSIBLY meet someone half way if you pay my gas.
