bought the car in a group of cars. key did not come with the car. we thought it would be easy to get a key, but thats not been the case. It appears you might have to change the lock cylinders, and possibly have the computer reprogrammed with the new key. We are not BMW experts, it was just a group purchase and we haven't done anything with it. It was towed to our warehouse in columbus indiana, clean title in hand. Not having a key, I cannot verify mileage, so we are going to call it unknown, but the title says 157,917 as of a few months ago. there is an oil change sticker in the window that says it was due in October 2011 at 165,000 miles. I HAVE NO IDEA. The body is in decent shape, there is a small ding on drivers side fender, nothing major at all, and there is some small rock chips on the nose, etc. Not a new car. The interior is fantastic, and obviously cared for we think. It is very clean tan leather, burlewood trim, etc. The drivers window is partially down, so its stored inside. tires are not bald, but are less than average condition. I know nothing else about it. It is a fairly nice looking 540, it must be towed or a key obtained to move it. We can store it for a short period if its helpful, but we need the space fairly soon, so thats why we have just auctioned it. There is no reserve, bid accordingly. I have NO other information, I dont know if it runs, I do not know the history, I know nothing whatsoever about it. I do have clean title in hand. Consider it a parts car, consider it a project, whatever you need to. Feel free to come inspect, it appears to be a nice car. NO reserve, high bid wins.
