Vehicle Detail

Here is the story on this car. It was purchased from my aunt in the mid 1980's. It had some rust then but was fix and painted. It was not driven after than in the winter and washed often. By 1990 is was stored in the barn where it aquired about 1/2 inch of dust for the past few decades. This past summer I dug it out and decided it's time to sell it since I have too much stuff. I need the space in the barn for the farm equipment. Here is the basic specs on it: * 4-cylinder with twin carburators * 5 spd transmission * air conditioning (needs charged) * stereo cassette * new tires - zero miles on them * disc brakes front, drum rear - surface rust This does not have any body rust except where indicated in the pictures, which basically is 1) the bottom rear corner of the drivers door and 2) inside the front drivers fender well. There is a little spot where the paint is flaking on the bottom rear passenger door and two scratches on the front. Other than that, the paint is still in really good shape. The interior is in excellent shape except for the stain marks on roof liner. These were there when I purchased it 25 yrs ago but since the roof never leaked for me, I'm not sure where they came from. Either I forgot how to start this or there is a safety wire off somewhere, so I had to remotely activate the starter and ignition to see if it still ran. That is when I found out that the rear carburator needs cleaned and possibly rebuilt for setting so many years - it is flooding out so not really running as it should. I was going to do it but just don't have time. The exhaust is still there and working (no holes) but lots of surface rust. Please ask if you have any other questions. There is no reserve on this auction and the starting price is twice the cost of its new tires. I can possibly work something out with delivery if not too far from 44807. Thanks for looking, John On Jan-04-12 at 21:18:25 PST, seller added the following information: Do to some questions, I add the following information. * more pictures added * after acquiring the car, I had it repainted but don't think we matched the original color code which was AAE * I will add pictures of the seats in a few days and post the exact milage On Jan-12-12 at 09:36:42 PST, seller added the following information: The odometer shows 09722 miles BUT this has been turned over. Because there is only 5 digits on the odometer, it is impossible for me to guarentee the exact milage. But based upon how long my aunt had it, her driving schedule (local commutes), and my history with it, I have a hard time believing the total mileage is more than 109,722. Also, I added photos of what the seat color likes like. The seats are in good shape, no tears, stains, or anything else negative. The pictures were taken with my phone so not as good as I'd like. The floor carpet is clean but the photo is pretty grainy.
