1973 Mercury Cougar Convertible Classic Design and the Last of its Kind. Mint condition -- Runs, Drives and Stops Great! 351 Cleveland 4 Valve 4 bbl "Q" series engine -- Cobra Jet C6 Transmission 9" Rear End Dual Exhaust 78k miles Ready to drive. 1 of only 4449 made, this model is the last year of the convertible and the last year the Cougar & Mustang shared the same chassis and power trains. So it basically is an upscale Mustang with a lot of chrome. The car is survivor, and was pretty solid top to bottom when I found it. I stripped the car down to do an all steel restoration and is fresh out of paint in June 2011. Interior is original and in excellent condition. Top has been replaced a fews ago and in very good condition, everything works fine. Minor blems/repaired Wheels, Tires and Brakes are in very good condition. New shocks/tie rods front end alignment. New plugs, wires, cap, condenser, points, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, and all fluids & Filters are fresh. Fires right up and runs great. Smooth shifting transmission.
