1986 Pontiac Firebird 454 Engine, 9.5 to 1 compression,540 Lift Cam, Holley Commander 950—total engine management system—multi port injection (currently set for street driving), Gear to Gear timing, Power Master Alternator—Single wire 100 amp—powder coated, High Torque Starter, GM Distributor converted to Holifax pickup and a 6 AL box and blaster coil by Mallory, Aluminum foam filled fuel cell, Fuel Pressure Guage, Twin relays to fuel pump.---Please note-- The engine in this car was a quick install for chassis fit. We are not familiar with it and will not say it is a dependable runner. This motor is gifted with the car. I would suggest installing a super charged big block Chevy engine in its place. However there is a lot of money spent here. Your money on this car is being spent on a chassis, race engineering and a race certifiable vehicle. Do not bid on this car with the expectation of it being turn key. This is not a novelist car. HOW DO I KNOW? **I BUILD CARS FOR DON GARLITTS**, AND WAS THE LAST OF THE TOP FUEL RACE TEAM GUYS ON DON'S PIT CREW. ****SWAMP RAT 34**** This Firebird is running 3rd Gen Hooker Headers and has dual electric fans 400 Turbo Auto Transmission with heavy duty bell and Trans Brake and Line Lock Narrowed Ford 9 inch rear end with 4:10 gears Heat treated axels with ½ inch screw in studs SSBC disc brakes on front Wilwood brake 4 piston rear disc brakes Factory Struts in front—New coil overs in rear with 4 links to adjust height of ride and dampening New Sway bar bushings End to end rubber coated underneath Race Track approved 15 inch Weld Wheels-- Tires Front 215/65/R15 -- Rear 32/14/15 Pro Cage built for car—6 point Frame rail connectors RCI Cam Lock 5 point harnesses—certified Rear Wing by Moroso Polished Aluminum Air Filter Housing This Firebird can easily be Street Legal—Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Horn, Fog Lamps, Flip up Headlights, tail and brake lights, turn signals all working. There are 2 things that need finishing to be legal on the street. The wiper motor had to come out when fitting the engine. The exhaust has yet to be taken to the back, currently running just the Hooker headers. Also of note-- There is a small corner stress crack in the windshield at the lower passenger side. It will not go into the windshield any further because it goes from post to bottom of windshield. It does not affect visibility. Tri color fade paint—Charcoal, Strawberry and Copper with Dupont Clear and House of Kolor metal flake. Body is in nice shape with a nice custom paint job. My opinion is that this is an 8 on a scale of 10. The title is clear and in hand and the mileage on title is exempt. I have tried to accurately list all the details. I am not the builder of this car so there is not much more I can tell you about the running gear. If you are not into finishing the car do not bid.
