Vehicle Detail
Tis still the season lads and lassies. Treat yourself this holiday season to the gift of giving that only you deserve. Don’t let this one get away. The Honda SilverWing is legendary for Quality & Reliability. Smart transportation for Smart Riders. This blue Silverwing, is a real creampuff, well maintain, garaged, and has always runs like a champ. Never the less as with any used bike always expect minor scuff or scratches, I’ve owned several different scooters and by far the SilverWing has been the most powerful. Ride with Style & Bid with confidence……….. The 600cc Silverwing is Honda’s largest scooter to date. Honda had never released a bigger scooter. The Silverwing was also the first real maxi-scooter introduced in the USA/Canada. The Silverwing remains on sale in the USA as of 2012, while in Canada this scooter hasn’t been offered since 2009. As you may suspect, the Silverwing is also Honda’s fastest scooter ever, with a 0-60mph time of 8 seconds and a top speed of 105mph (170km/hr) The Silverwing can attain 35-40mpg. On the open road the Silverwing does quite well. It has great brakes with discs front and rear, ABS (standard as of 2011, optional before that) and CBS (essentially linked brakes so the left lever pulls both calipers). The twin cylinder powerplant makes a solid 38hp at 7500 RPM. It’s also got dual counterweights to balance the engine and virtually eliminate vibrations. The CVT found the Silverwing is also impressive in that it has 3 difference acceleration modes that it uses depending on how far the throttle is pressed. These modes eliminate wheelspin off the line and they improve fuel economy when power isn’t needed. I HAVE LOGGED OVER 35,OOO MILES AND HAVE BEEN ALL OVER THE STATE OF FLORIDA. DAYTONA BIKE WEEK IS A STAPLE IN MY RIDING DIET, AND MY WING ATTRACTS ATTENTION. I HAVE TWO BROTHERS THAT RIDE THEIR OWN BIKES, BOTH CONVENTIONAL CRUISERS, AND THEY LOVE TO RIDE WITH ME BECAUSE I CAN CARRY ALL THEIR LUGGAGE AND MINE TOO, ALONG WITH MY GIRL. I HAVE ADDED AN ADDITIONAL TRUNK/BACKREST TO MY WING'S CAPABILITIES. MY BROTHERS CALL MY BIKE ""THE MULE"" BECAUSE OF ITS STRENGTH, CARRYING ABILITY AND DEPENDABILITY. 21 out of 21 people found this helpful.............................................................danconklin : was a no pay & no means of picking up the scooter, on the original ebay listing.Scooter listed locally, seller may end auction without notice. The scooter herein listed is not the same scooter. What the two scooter's share in common is that they are both Honda SilverWings.
