Vehicle Detail
1987 Chevrolet K-5 Silverado Blazer 4x4 Clean, High-scoring AutoCheck Report Two Owners, Zero Accidents VIN: 1GNEV18K5HF181681 I’m often asked where we find these clean, unique vehicles. One of my best friends cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W. Halls and the back streets of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in north Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a door a mile away… He’ll notice when a nice old car or truck is driving down the road with a turn signal on too long and he positively twitches with glee after a vehicle with metal bumpers passes by. If you’re in the market for a great driving vintage SUV please give this almost bone-stock Silverado Blazer your kind attention. You’re also welcome to stop by and drive the rig before bidding, contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the eBay listing. My name is Mark Thompson and I can be reached directly at 206/914-1173. CONDITION: The photos really tell the Blazer’s story. The AutoCheck History Report shows this rig has NEVER been involved in an accident and has an AutoCheck vehicle score of 42, well above the 16-38 range. It’s second owner brought it here to snow-free western Washington almost a decade ago. There is absolutely NO history of ANY accidents, body or storm damage, insurance salvage, recovered theft, repossession or any other nasty negatives to cause you concern. In fact, this rig fully qualifies for AutoCheck’s Buyback Protection Program as outlined here in the Ebay listing. The factory paint does appear to have been redone in the original white, most likely as part of the clearcoat issue faced by many Chevys built during the late eighties. Bid with confidence, this is a nice truck! We take great pride in the vehicles we sell and feel that you should know as much about them as possible. Accordingly, here’s a list of the good and also things possibly needing attention: The four wheel drive system seems to work just as it should. With a pull of a lever the drive train goes to full 4x4 mode, so most of the time you’ll be in 2WD and not wearing out the front drive parts during highway use. The engine compartment and clean underside are original as pictured. Climb over, under and throughout - I just know you’ll come up smiling! Rust? Well, this classic SUV hates rust and you’d be hard pressed to find anything to worry about here! Because we rarely get any snow in western Washington State, our winter roads are rarely ever salted. One turn of the key and the strong 5.7 liter V8 fires right up with just a few pumps of the gas pedal - even when cold. The factory gauges show strong oil pressure and that the water temperature & charging system are reading right where they should be. The three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, just like it should, with NO slippage. There’s factory cruise control, air conditioning (needs charging), power windows, good power steering and good brakes. If you do encounter a little snow or icy roads, just pull back on the 4x4 set lever located on the transmission tunnel and off you go! All four after market alloy wheels are wrapped with top line R15LT BF Goodyear Wrangler APT radials with at least 65-75% remaining tread. During the summer months, it really is great fun to unbolt the fiberglass rear cover and just go topless! Please take another look at the interior shots. The seat upholstery front and back is excellant on all the fabric panels. No visible wear-through spots, rips or tears. I'm speculating that the gray carpets have been replaced as they are immaculate and literally like new! There are NO cracks in the original dash cover. Both door panels have stood the test of time and are in nice condition, too. You’ll also be quite impressed with the dash gauges. They still as clear and bright as the day this K-5 left the plant almost 25 years ago! The aftermarket removable faceplate AM-FM/CD Premier stereo seems to be working just fine. About the only major flaws to point out are several windshield cracks, so plan to replace it sometime down the road. As outlined above, my name is Mark and you’re welcome to contact me with any questions at (206) 914-1173. If you are in the area make an appoiontment to inspect, drive and make an offer on the Blazer. If you’re thinking of bidding on a comparable Chevy Suburban or Ford Bronco of similar vintage, you really owe it to yourself to check this one over first! Please BID WITH CONFIDENCE and know that you are purchasing a nice vehicle from a respected Ebay Seller. Note: WE will NEVER, EVER “shill” or falsely "bump-up" an auction (a violation of eBay rules and also Federal Law). Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, we require that new eBay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call or email before placing a bid. If we don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: Check the photos over closely and call with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. Because of the high fees they charge, I can accept PAYPAL for the deposit only. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven days unless prior arrangements have been made with us. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold, inspect or then come test-drive the vehicle later as you’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends. If you do decide to have the Blazer shipped home, there are numerous vehicle transport companies to choose from. We ship vehicles regularly and I'd suggest that you get a transport bid from www.U-ship.com. Transporters will bid delivery of the vehicle and you'll be able to choose who you want to use. The zip code for pick-up would be 98028 (Kent, WA) to get an instant on-line quote from either source. The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. Make sure you inquire with your shipper about insurance coverage on the vehicles they transport. The Blazer can be stored free of charge at our location for up to seven days after full payment has been made. After that, we charge $10 per day storage The Buyer will be responsible for the licensing requirements in their state of residence. If you live here in Washington State we’ll need to collect the sales tax, title preparation, transfer and registration fees (this means if it’s leaving Washington, you won’t be paying any sales tax here). Because the Chevy is advertised and for sale locally, I reserve the right to cancel this auction early if it’s no longer available for sale online. The State of Washington shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes. Venue shall be exclusively in King County. The final contract signed between both buyer and seller shall be binding. The final signed contract and terms thereof shall govern the sale. All disputes arising out of or relating to this auction, any negotiations, the signed agreement, or to the breach, enforcement or interpretation thereof, shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Washington, in accordance with the terms contained in the final sale agreement and under the laws of the State of Washington. Whew! Don’t you just love legalese?
