No Reserve Auction!!! Up for sale is a 2003 VW new beetle automatic convertible with 108,000 miles. The VW is navy blue, black soft top and tan interior. Heat/AC/stereo/convertible top all work properly. The car has some flaws and will try to describe as best as can. Interior: Seats are tan leather and the previous owner did not keep them clean, leather has a dirty appearance but is intact and fully functional and heat up. The console also has some wear on the top but still functional. We checked a local upholstery station and can have the leather seats done over and the console but would cost about $800. Carpets is a little dirty in some spots but could be steam cleaned and would look fine, matt covers most of the spots but wanted to mention them. Exterior: When we puchased it found a ding on the passenger rear side but paint still in tact and no rust. Mechanically:The transmission has some issues and not certain what all it needs, had the tranny replaced and that helped but still shifts hard at times. Shop recommended rebuilding the transmission but we dont have the money for that at this time. The drivers rear window is not functioning properly but stays up. This could be a cute and fun car if someone has the time, knowledge and/or a little money to put into it but unfortunately we do not have any of the above options for ourselves. I will post some pictures in a couple of days but feel free to call in the meantime with any further questions and we will try to answer them. Also call to set a time up to view/drive the car, just drove it a little over 200 miles a couple of weeks ago and 100 miles this week. Car is great on gas and again for a little money would make a great car for someone. Car is also for sell locally so reserve the right to end the auction early.
