Vehicle Detail
Classic - 1967 Austin Healey Sprite - Runs and fun to drive, all electrical works. Solid, 63,900 original miles. Complete Car. This is a great restoration candidate with decent chrome, some surface rust on the panels, it has strong rust free door pillars, floor boards, rocker panels, etc. If I had the time I would finish it but with the other projects I have I just can't justify the time and the space it is taking up in the garage right now. Great winter project, clean title. Fuel tank cleaned and flushed. New: Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel lines, tires and brakes. Also, the spare tire, jack and repair manualOn Dec-22-11 at 18:49:28 PST, seller added the following information: To help answer a few common questions. The transmission, clutch and engine are working, all of the electrical works except there is a jumper cable to the new electric fuel pump run in the wrong location under the car, it works but should be re-routed to the proper location. The tires are good and the brakes work including the parking brake however they need to be bleed (I would suggest flushing the brake fluid) the pads appear to be in good shape. The car does not have any fresh leaks from the engine, radiator or transmission after I ran it, it does appear that the rear differential may have leaked at one time (it doesn't leak any more) I would suggest that the fluid be changed and the gasket replaced. The Carbuerators seem to work with the exception that the accelerator cable sticks from age and sitting, this will need to be replaced. The cap, rotor, spark plugs points and wires are all new. The paint is original with the exception the front drivers side fender was replaced, I bought it from the person who owned it since 1970, he had damage to the fender and had it replaced. The car has undercoating which protected the frame and the underside from rust. I also attached a picture of the door jam, these are very solid and the doors don't sag and close/open well, same with the trunk and hood. On Dec-23-11 at 21:10:48 PST, seller added the following information: I want to clarify that this car is not a daily driver, it is a restoration candidate, it does run but needs to be throughly gone through before attempting to drive it any sort of distance. If you live in another state, please don't ask me if you can drive it home, it should be shipped or trailered not driven unless you are familiar with AH's and mechanically inclined to take the risk - meaning, you come with spare parts and are prepared to make repairs/adjustments as necessary. The car sat for 15 years before I got it running. Currently it has only ran on an external fuel tank, there is a brass connection between the fuel pump (newer) and the gas tank that needs to be replaced for it to run off its internal gas tank. Thanks.
