Vehicle Detail
I took this 1995 E320 cabriolet in on trade for one of my race cars. It was owned by an unmarried couple since 2002. They have a quite a collection of beautiful Mercedes--all of which are maintained by a local MB technician and detailed every three months. There isn't a whole lot to say about the car as it's fantastic! Runs like a dream, gets great gas mileage, soft top has no leaks (it was actually replaced 6 months ago by the MB tech). The exterior color has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. It reminds me a of a beautiful rose Cabernet. The trim is a very pretty gold-chrome color along with a very small gold pin-stripe down both sides. All of the rubber seals on the car look great as well! The only flaws with the paint are: one scuff on the rear bumper, and two small scratches far down on the drivers door -- both issues can be touched up and never seen again. One other problem, is the gold trim that goes on the drivers door handle (exterior little piece) is missing. The interior is flawless from what I can see. Everything works, radio sounds fantastic, the leather is soft and supple, the original (!!) floor mats are clean (the drivers has what I would describe as very slight wear). There's no stains, rips, etc in the interior--even the seat-belt extenders work! I cannot believe what great shape it's in. If I had room for the car I would love to keep it for myself, unfortunately I don't have the room for it and the money would be very, very helpful this holiday season. The engine compartment is dusty, but everything is there without any faults. The 3.2L in this car purrs like a kitten. No funny idle, no temperature issues, the transmission shifts wonderfully, the brakes are firm and slow without vibration. I had a mechanic come give it a once-over, and he was amazed at how nice it is. I had him confirm that the miles are true (sometimes people swapped around instrument clusters in these cars)--he said it looks right for 95k miles. I also had him look at the frame, undercarriage, etc for repairs. He didn't see any frame repair or damage, the shocks are not leaking nor needing replacement, there aren't any leaks either. If you have any questions please ask! I would post up my email/phone number, but last time I sold my mother's old 300TE wagon, I got bombarded with scam emails and telemarketers calling me. Absolutely horrible. If you do ask a question though, I will answer promptly and as much information as I can! Also, I have the original owners manual, and loads of papers that come with the car! The interior has never been smoked in to my knowledge--there are NO odors! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!! This is a no reserve auction! There is no implied warranty, the car is being sold as-is. I have described the car to the best of my ability. If you have zero feedback, please message before bidding or I will cancel your bid no questions asked. Transport/pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. Please no overseas buyers. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is listed locally. $500.00 deposit due within 48 hours of auction close.
