Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1962 Mercedes Benz 220s "finny". Finny was the term coined for the tail-fin design of the rear of the vehicle, making it a sought after distiction and harder to find. This vehicle is one of two that were owned by a gentleman in Boise. Both were project cars that recieved varying degrees of attention, prior to his purchase they had sat parked for over four years. I purchased the car hoping to have the time and money to complete the restoration however, I have had neither. Before the car was "parked" the motor had been gone through and the car was drivable. It now suffers from those fuel related issues for having sat idle for an extended period of time. As the photo's show there is much work remaining, but the "project" is well under way. The car is missing a brake master cylinder. Most of the chrome is still present and I have picked up some of the missing pieces since I purchased the car. The body is in remarkably good shape, I started to buff out the hood and it was amazing to see the luster of the original color come back to life. The interior still needs a fair bit of work, the driver seat needs repair but the passenger and rear seats are in excellent condition. I have also retained matching red door panels for all four doors that are in amazing shape. This being a meer introduction please fell free to respond with any questions that you may have and I will respond promptly.
