Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is this iconic 1968 Firebird. This is a great cruise night car for the price. It is presently hooked to a non matching 400 V8 and has a Warner T-10 four speed trans which has been recently rebuild. This is a great car because of its low reserve. You can leave it alone and drive it or you can either restore it to it factory specs where you will have a Rare Bird. According to the Pontiac Historical Society there where only 3,784 build with its factory color of Verdoro Green and period correct 350 V8. This is no show car and does need TLC thats why the reserve is under ten grand, It runs strong with the 400 V8 and freshly overhauled fourspeed. It has dual exhaust, new gas tank, new rear springs, and new rear quarters. The paint has minor bubling and the floors need some attention which can easly be repaired. If this car was perfict and needed nothing, even with the none matching motor I would be asking alot more. This car is being offered at a respectfull price because it does need TLC. Again it is up to you on what you are looking to do with it, because it is now beging used and enjoyed as it is. It is also a great car to clone into a Super Rare Trans Am. The buyer is responsible for the shipping and must pay for the car in full within 72 hours of buying it. We will assist the buyer with any arrangements for the shipping. Please be advised that that I am selling this car for a friend and therefor I am not the owner. Once you buy the car you will be supplied with the owner information. We will answer any questions to the best of our ability. If you have any questions please do so via e-mail or call Steve at 973 519 4224. On Dec-09-11 at 14:44:39 PST, seller added the following information: I have recieved e-mails about the floors and the bubbling in the paint. The floors need to be repaired they have holes and have been repaired by someone who put sheet metal over the holes. The correct way is to put new replacement floor pans. Again the price reflects the condition. The paint is okay and the bubbling is not major. It has a spot down by the bottom of the door and near the rear glass also not a major issue. The price of the vehicle is low and again if this was a #1 or 2 car we would be asking alot more.
