Vehicle Detail

FOR SALE 2007 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR Engine: 4.6L police specific (250hp) MPG: CITY 17mpg HIGHWAY 25mpg Mileage: 116,300 miles Transmission: Automatic with overdrive police specific Differential: 3.27gear Posi-Traction limited slip This car runs and drives great. Brakes are perfectly smooth, has new police brake pads installed front and rear with new rear brake rotors, new wiper blades, and an oil change all within last 600 miles. This car is in absolutely stunning condition. I repainted the rims on the car with a semi-gloss rim/wheel specific paint for durability. The interior has the upgraded cloth rear seat, not that cheap vinyl or hard plastic. The dash has a few mounting holes from previous police equipment but is in nice shape. Starting in 2005 these car have the newer style steering column with a new steering wheel. These new columns have a lot better shifter, not rubbery feeling like the older ones. Also these newer style steering wheels hold up much better, they are more rubber like rather than the previous foam style steering wheels that use to fall apart. That is why you see so many of the older ones with steering wheel covers on them. The driver seat does have a small patch at the titling mechanism where all these cars suffer from wear. (See pictures) Everything else is in great shape. Also staring in 2006 was the new instrument cluster. This new cluster has a tachometer in it as well as an hour meter built into it to help with maintenance intervals because sometimes these cars have a lot of idling time. There are no warning light on in the dash, everything works as it should. As you can see in the pictures, the paint on this car has an amazing shine to it, I did wax and buff the car out, and it looks fantastic. This is the factory two tone paint job as you can see that even the door jams are two tone paint job. Lights are nice and clear, all windows are in great shape, no chips or cracks. The car does have some paint checkering on the hood as I tried to show in pictures, also a few scuffs on the bumpers and the drivers side rear quarter panel has some scratches on it. All the doors close nice, and I did repaint the rims a satin black finish. I also hooked the factory horn back up. Most police cars have the factory horn disconnected at the steering wheel because of there sirens. Police departments have what they call hands free siren tone cycling which means the horn button on the steering wheel is disconnected and wired to the police siren controller. Then they just press the horn button on the steering wheel to cycle through the siren tone when in pursuit. This allows the police officer to keep his hands on the steering wheel at all times instead of reaching over to change the siren tones. You don't want to take your hands off the steering wheel at 140mph do you? It DOES HAVE the spare tire and jack in it which 90% of police cars DON'T have. Unique high performance police transmission with aluminum drive shaft for maximum performance Heavy duty extra reinforced frame to withstand severe duty use - Crown Vic Police interceptor police cars are the only cars to have ever been crash tested at an amazing 80mph Heavy duty police suspension which includes heavy duty steering components, severe duty shock absorbers, heavy duty over-sized front and rear stabilizer bars, stronger coil springs with higher spring rates Extra oil cooler which helps keep engine oil temperatures cooler to prevent engine oil from breaking down Heavy duty 17 inch steel wheels (YES STOCK 17 INCH RIMS ON A POLICE CAR) High performance speed rates police pursuit tires (GOODYEAR) Extreme heavy duty braking system for fade resistant stopping power even at over 100 mph Heavy duty police seats with very rugged supports, and mechanisms with steel plates in back to prevent someone from injuring the driver or front passenger. Special calibrated 140 mph Speedometer so it is more accurate than any other car This car also has the 3.27 limited slip rear differential so it has a higher top speed than the other police cars with a 3.55 rear gear High output alternator (200 amps) Extra bright manual control POLICE dome light Stainless steel dual exhaust system Car runs and drives awesome, very fast, great handling, excellent brakes, and decent fuel economy. TIPS ON BUYING POLICE CARS Make sure you know where your car was located. STOP if it is from the south. Most cars from the southern states(ESP Arizona, Texas, New Mexico) have a lot of paint peeling issues because the sun bakes the paint plus the engine is running constantly so the paint is heated from the top and bottom causing it to crack and peel off. Plus it is already so hot there, and they leave there cars parked with the engine constantly running, and just sitting there not moving so there is no air movement through the engine compartment, the engine runs hotter and the oil breaks down faster causing excessive engine wear. Not to mention that causes the engine seals and gaskets to dry out and leak, and all other rubber lines, hoses deteriorate faster. That is why most of those southern states get rid of there cars at an earlier mileage, many around 60,000 miles, simply because they don't last as long down there. This car came from Village of Evergreen Park, IL. Always ask if the horn works since they are often disconnected as explained above, not a big issue but it is nice to have a horn, and can still cost $100 if you bring it to a shop to get fixed. (Horn works fine on this car) Always ask if all the headlights work. Sometimes when they remove the wig wag headlight flashers, they just cut the wires for the high beam headlights and just leave it. Again, not a big deal but it is something that could cost another $50-100 to get fixed. (All lights work in this car) ALWAYS ask about exhaust leaks. These cars are prone to exhaust leaks when the police drive because of the way the police use them. I have had 10 of them and 3 of them had exhaust manifold exhaust leaks. (This car has no exhaust leaks) Always ask about the spare tire and jack. Most police cars don't come with a jack or spare tire for a few reasons. One, they simply need more room in the truck, police officers carry a LOT of stuff in the trunks of there cars. And second, our local police chief told me that an officer is NOT ALLOWED to change there own tire, they must call someone out to change it if they get a flat. Sounds silly to me but that is what I was told. (This car has the spare tire and jack) Contrary to popular belief, not all police cars have limited slip (posi-traction) rear differentials. Only about 50% of them do. Always ask about the driver side door hinges. Since the police get in and out of their car so many times a day, these hinges are ofter worn out if not greased regularly and cause the door to be hard to shut and open because the door will be sagging. (The hinges on this car are in great shape and the door closes great) OK, this car is located in Bourbonnais IL 60914 which is in the Kankakee area. Actually I am less than 1 mile from Olivet which is where the Chicago Bears summer camp is. I am located about 45 min straight south of Chicago, IL. I AM NOT A DEALER. I DON'T TAKE PAYMENTS.
