Vehicle Detail

EXTREMELY RARE 1973 Triumph Stag for sale. V8, 4 speed manual with 92,410 miles. Only 2,871 Triumph Stags made it to America during it's 7 year production run from 1970 to 1977, of which they were only exported to America between 1971 and 1973. So few of these models were offered with the 3.0 OHC V8, and even less with the 4 speed manual gearbox. The Triumph Stag was created as a luxury sports car. Power windows, air conditioning, leather seats, 4 speed gearbox with "overdrive," convertible top, (with B-pillar for rollover safety) monocoque design with MacPherson front struts and semi-trailing arms in the rear, power assisted brakes and steering all make the Stag a comfortable sporty cruiser. The aluminum head V8 utilizes dual Stromberg carburetors in favor of the pesky problem-ridden fuel injection system of the era. This particular damson on tan model is in running and driving condition. Starts easily, holds a good idle and has ample power. No hesitation under load, transmission shifts smooth. The exterior has been prepped for paint however I'm sure will need attention before final spray. Engine bay, door jams etc are still painted. Carburetors were recently cleaned and re-installed with new gaskets. New fuel was added and distributor cleaned. Brakes function but could use an overhaul. Underbody is in good shape: rust is surface only, did not find rot. Convertible top could use replacement, hard top is included! Temperature gauge works, car does not overheat. Original metal cooling fan shroud still intact (rare)! Oil pressure gauge functions and shows good readings, semi-recent water pump. Second and third gears (common problem) are fine. Doesn't blow any white smoke or have signs of headgasket problems. I have sold many vehicles in the past via ebay, safely. I am more than willing to assist with shipping in any way, and I am willing to deliver within 1000 miles for $0.65 a mile Comes with a clean, clear title. Reserve is very low considering the rarity of the vehicle. Please do not hesitate to call with any inquiries or to discuss reserve. Remember, buy it now can be added at any time as well. (716) 725-5366. *I do have the rear bumper and metal rocker sills. Front bumper not included $500 deposit via paypayl required within 48 hours of the auction's close. Balance must be paid within 7 days via cash, certified check, bank check or bank transfer.
