At this price, this is probably the best deal on ebay. 1955 FORD Mainline 4 door 272 V-8 3 on the tree This would make a great Rat Rod or restore to original. Motor runs good. No smoke or funny noises. Tranny shifts good in all gears. Gets lots of looks and thumbs up as you drive. It has a leak on a heater hose. I think it is a heater control valve, but I can't find it in the part catalog. I believe it was a Oklahoma car. There is aa 81 Ok inspection sticker in the windshield. I got it from a widow whos husband was going to restore it. But, it sat in his barn for 10 years. I drove it 6o miles home and have been driving it around town... afraid to drive too far with the little leak in the video. Brakes need bled. You have to pump for most stop signs. I would love to keep the car, but would have to leave it out for an Illinois winter, So, it is going to sell. This is a no reserve, "AS-IS" auction. You win the bid... it is yours. I have not driven it since it sold on ebay. The last winning bidder had me empty the gas tank so the shipper could ship it overseas. . Great Rat Rod potential. Solid body and frame. Good V-8 and good transmission. The car looks good from all directions. I have driven it to a couple cruise ins and have a lot of questions. The paint is sun faded and has some surface rust, as you can see... Interior is in good condition. It has been reupolstered. Speedometer and odometer work, but the gas guage does not work. Headliner is good. No rust problems in trunk. Motor runs good. It has a new fuel punp and oversized fuel filter. It does need a mufler. I like the noisey exhaust, though. Headlights and taillights all work, but directional lights do no work. The only rust that is beyond surface are the two front fenders behind the wheels Cracked driver side vent and window. Flat glass. inexpensive to replace.
