This is a 1924 Ford Model T Touring car with good Ohio title. I brought the car with the intent of restoring it, but after sitting in the barn and taking up space I need for other projects I’ve decided it’s time to put it back on the auction block. This could be a restoration project or a Rat Rod project. The pictures show the car in different stages of “togetherness”. I had to disassemble the car to store it. As I put it back together for this auction I took the pictures. Most of the pieces are there but there are parts missing. Some of the bigger things I’ve noticed are; right rear brake shoes and connecting bolts, one brake rod, most of the windshield frame, no glass, the water inlet connection and the timer. The engine (# 11821227), transmission and drive train will need a complete and total major overhaul. The connecting rods are frozen to the cast iron pistons, other than soaking in penetrating oil I have not tried to break them free. Radiator is in sad shape, not sure if it is repairable. The body will need a lot of work. Most of the wood has rotted out. There are places where the metal is rusted through. Because the wood has rotted out the sheet metal has lost its shape, pulled apart or warped in places. The top bows are in very good condition, even the wood is good. There is pitting on the frame. Springs and shackles need going over. Wheel spokes; two wheel s are in poor to fair shape, one is in fair to good shape and one wheel the spokes are brand new (grabbed the wrong wheel when I had a set re-done). The pictures show all the pieces and parts that I have for the car. I’ve done my best to describe what’s missing but I’ve probably missed things. If you don’t see it in a picture then I don’t have the part for the car. I believe most of the missing parts, including the wood kit for the body, are available from major T parts suppliers like Macs, Lang’s, Snyder’s or Gaslight to name a few. The car is located near Fostoria, Ohio and viewing is by appointment only. Terms are a $500.00 non-refundable deposit due 48 hours after the sale ends via PayPal. The remaining balance is due within seven business days after the sale ends by Cash or Certified Bank Check. If paying by check the car can be picked up only after the check has cleared my bank, which could take up to 10 business days. The car is for local pickup only. All shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Since there are so many loose pieces, I would recommend picking it up yourself. I will not be responsible for parts lost in transit. I can assist in loading the vehicle but securing the car so nothing will be lost is the responsibility of the driver. Car is for sale to USA only.
