Vehicle Detail
Very rare 1948 Chevy Fleetliner with amazingly beautiful wooden side panels and tutone Art Deco mint green /dark army green brown paint. You just never see this model car anywhere now days. Included on this wonderful car is a set of rear fender skirts and front fog lights that along with the chromed front and rear bumper guards make this car very showy and a true classic that every car buff or novice seems to gaze at in a dreamy longing of the past kind of way. My father who is in his seventies now collected and sold antique and classics for his lifetime and after retiring several years ago bought this car out of Colorado as his personal enjoyment and hobby of collecting the rare and exceptional. Now it has come time to down size and turn loose of things he has treasured and this car with it's clear plastic seat covers, wide whitewalls, radio and only 54,000 original miles will be sold to another enthusiastic owner. Just within the last couple month's I have noticed some damage to the carpet on the drivers side, possibly due to a mouse or moths I'm not sure but will try to capture in the photos and the deluxe trim on the drivers side door interior is beginning to come loose at the chrome snaps, nothing that can't be repaired but adds to the original character of this sleek fashion automobile. Also a quarter sized ding on the drivers side of the body but the paint in this spot seems fine as is the paint on the entire car in very good condition. The chromed dual spot lights and rare rear bumper center fold down guard are also very desirable extras for the fully loaded options list. Transporting the car will be the buyers responsibility and expense but we can and will do whatever needs to be done to help the new owners receive uppermost care and consideration. Payment will be 2000.00 dollars down nonrefundable within 24 hours of auction ending via paypal and the balance due within 10 day's by certified funds before the title and car with be removed. Any questions will be respectfully answered and feel free to ask. The picture's I hope will allow for the this honest original car to speak for it'self. The buyer can be assured the car will be secured and cared for just as always before, until transporting arrangements are made and completed. On Dec-06-11 at 18:30:40 PST, seller added the following information: You car collectors and enthusiastic buyers are a great bunch to be around thanks for all the compliments on the car and here are a couple questions I have been getting. 1. there is not a dent in the body like I said there was, its in the fender skirts on both sides in the same spots(must be made that way) I apologize for my mistake. 2. I have been asked several times what is the Reserve Price ? and I feel with the auction less than half way over it would not be fair or polite to the current bidders to reveal that now, BUT I will say my Father paid greater than 30,000.00 dollars for this car and the reserve price is very modest in that regard. I am confident at this point the reserve will be met.Keep hanging in there and you wont regret spending the money for a car of this caliber, there just are not but a few still left like this out there. On Dec-07-11 at 18:34:51 PST, seller added the following information: Style number is 48-1007, body number is K 8834, paint number is 77, trim number is 5 something.----- Yes it sure would of been an original optional deluxe color option back then.----- Thanks again for the very many comments on the car it is a awesome car and my father is really "getting a kick" out of this new way of selling a car .Thanks to all you guys.On Dec-08-11 at 10:26:02 PST, seller added the following information: The appraisal was in October 2011 and it is an older restoration. I would add that you can see the body lines and chrome pieces all line up perfect and the welt between the fenders is just as it should be. Also probably the one option it does not have on it is the windshield sun visor like some of these cars did, but I never really cared for the looks of those anyway. On Dec-10-11 at 18:04:40 PST, seller added the following information: Just added a picture of the underside, it is solid ! the pans are just like the rest of the car. There isn't any rust in the floor pans.. Car is solid and rust free. Excellent original with cosmetic freshening of the paint. GOING TO A NEW HOME....
