Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a 1995 Discovery with a 2.5L Land Rover 300 TDI turbo diesel conversion! The conversion was done 5 years ago at 115K miles by Safari HP in Orlando, FL. Conversion was done using a complete diesel drivetrain including all the correct parts required such as engine, automatic transmission, transfer case, air cleaner, wiring harnesses, relays, injection pump, power steering, alternator, starter, AC compressor, chassis mounts, frame crossmember, fuel filler neck, etc. New timing belt, seals, transmission filter, free flow exhaust, belts, hoses, oil lines and radiator were installed during the conversion. This complete 300 Tdi drivetrain is from a 1997 model UK spec Discovery with only 43K miles. Current mileage is approximately 142K (71K on the entire drivetrain). The truck was also painted bright Yellow around the same time. The headliner has been professionally reupholstered and is not sagging or falling down. The rear sunroof is not operational, and the rear window wiper does not work. The entire suspension has been completely rebuilt including new rear A frame ball joint and polyurethane bushings which provide a "better than new" ride quality. There are numerous off road uprades including: 2” Old Man Emu HD springs/shocks, Rovertym CYA fuel tank skid plate, rock sliders and extended stainless steel brake lines, Mantec raised air intake, heavy duty steering with OME steering stabilizer, and rebuilt double cardan front driveshaft with serviceable u-joints. Genuine Land Rover seat covers and complete set of new rubber floor mats are included with the vehicle. Lucky8 Offroad Equipment supplied the 50mm Flexi fender flares and performance breather line relocation kit. It also has an Optima "yellow top" deep cycle battery, and in the rear cargo area a Maglite and fire extinguisher are mounted. Safari Equip interior security screens are installed in the rear cargo area. The wheels are Procomp 16x8 steel wheels with Goodyear M/TR 245/75R16 tires. All new lights were installed, including later model tail lights and Discovery II headlamps. Please also note how nice the chassis/frame is on this vehicle! No rust, never wrecked, owned by an obsessed Land Rover enthusiast and mechanic! Other upgrades: late model "aero" (much quieter than original) roof cross bars, door seal gaskets, vanity sunvisors, auto-dimming mirror with compass and Homelink garage door opener, dash, door panels, cargo area illumination, and more. As you can see in the photos, the interior is very clean but the front seats are ugly under the covers. Stereo upgrades include Alpine iDA-X305 digital media head unit, Alpine KTP-445 Power Pak amplifier, Polk db401 front and rear speakers, Boston Neo 5t tweeters, Boston GT-275 amplifier and G210 10” subwoofer in custom built enclosure.The most overlooked items on diesel converted Land Rovers are the gauges! Installed here are aftermarket Autometer EGT, Boost PSI, Water Temp, and Oil pressure gauges to reliably monitor the engine/turbo. This Discovery also has a complete Allard Turbosport Phase 3 performance kit installed consisting of: upgraded full width intercooler, new charge piping, silicone hoses, Phase 3 uprated turbocharger, alloy power steering fluid tank, and coolant reservoir from Allard Turbosport in the UK. Allard’s phase 3 increases the horsepower 30% from 110 to 143 and torque 32% from 195 lb/ft up to 257. The body is in great shape with the exception of dents on the right front fender and quarter panel. The only rust is a few tiny spots around the right alpine roof glass. No rust in the door jambs, floor boards, chassis, etc. There are a few other scratches and chips in the paint to be expected. The engine oil has been changed regularly and there are no leaks. Runs, drives, and shifts great. Starts right up every time. The diesel engine is dead reliable and has never misfired or skipped a beat- and gets 24MPG! Try getting that in a petrol powered Discovery! The under hood parts of the air conditioning were removed when I did the turbo/intercooler upgrades but I have not had time to reinstall them. All those parts will of course be included with the vehicle. The AC was fully functioning prior to removal. Other spare parts included with the vehicle include: radiator hoses, belts, engine mounts, and turbo exhaust housing. This is a 100% running and driving LEGAL diesel conversion, titled and registered in NC with no issues. Pre-1996 model year means no plug-in OBDII inspection concerns if your home state does not exempt diesel vehicles from emissions testing (most do). This truck drives smoothly and quietly and tracks straight down the road, this is not a hastily converted basket case vehicle!
