NO DISAPPOINTMENTS This is an extremely nice original numbers matching car sporting all its "born with" factory items including its true factory colors in and out. I purchased this car last summer from a friend who had completely restored the car and it just needed finishing. He had replaced the front and rear floor pans, forward frame rails, and both quarters. He had the engine professionally rebuilt as well as the transmission and all the rear differential bearings replaced. I had the car professionally painted the original color and then installed the perfect all original interior. The carpet was the only item replaced inside. 1. Car is original “C” code 289. I substituted an Edelbrock aluminum 4 bbl intake and 600 cfm Holley for the original cast iron intake and 2 bbl carb. Originals are included. 2. I installed brand new tires and wheels. Magnum 500 wheels 15X7 & 15X8 with BF Goodrich 205-60 and 235-60 tires. Original 14” wheels and new tires are included as well with all 4 original hubcaps. 3. I had a complete brake job performed. Not just new shoes but also all hardware, springs, adjusters, wheel cylinders, brake lines, hoses, and new drums on all 4 wheels. 4. New clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing were installed and the flywheel resurfaced and re-balanced. 5. New fuel line from tank to pump and pump to carb. 6. New alternator, voltage regulator, starter, distributor, and steering box. Front suspension rebuilt including tie rods, ball joints, idler arm, bushings and a 4 wheel alignment. 7. The AM-FM radio works good and plays through an original type speaker in the stock location in the dash. The dash is uncut. I am including the original AM radio. 8. Shifter completely rebuilt and both upper and lower boots are new. This car starts, runs, and drives great. The engine fires with just a touch of the key and sounds great through its dual exhaust. It has an abundance of power and is smooth with no noises or problems of any kind. The transmission shifts smooth but firm with no noises or gear clash. The clutch is smooth and strong. This car runs down the road straight and true and stops the same way. There are no wind or road sounds even at highway speeds. The doors close very easily with a good solid sound. The windows roll perfectly. All gaps and lines are exceptional and the fit and finish is impressive. All lights and signaling devises work including the horn. All gauges work including the speedometer, fuel, temp, and oil pressure. All dash lights function as do the interior lights. The wipers and washers work like new. The heat and defrost works as it should and the a/c is ice cold. This is a very nice Mustang that would be at home in any car show or cruising to any gathering of collectable cars. It is nicely detailed top to bottom. It is ready to go as it sits and needs nothing. I have shown the following items in the pictures. The windshield has 3 or 4 scratches from some sharp instrument used to scrape snow or ice sometime in its life. I did not replace it because it is original and I don’t think the scratches are that bad. There is one very tiny imperfection on the edge of the hood clearly pointed out. There is a small dent on the top just behind the windshield molding caused by a book falling from an old box stored in the garage rafters, also clearly shown. I hold a clean clear title in my name Please ask any questions you have. You are welcome to inspect the car in person or through a third party before auction ends.
