1968 Pontiac GTO Project. True GTO w/ 242 VIN. I purchased this with the intent of completing a body off restoration, but have since blown the engine in my other GTO. I don't have the time, space or money for two projects, so this one must go. While disassembled, this is a fairly complete car. It was a base 400/4 barrel w/THM 400. No transmission. Engine negotiable. Work done to date: Body removed from frame,media blasted, epoxy primed and re-installed on frame. Frame media blasted and powder coated black. All hard lines (fuel and brake) replaced w/stainless lines. All suspension pcs. painted and wear parts replaced. Wotk required: repair of rust damage made visible by media blast rear 1/4 skins, outer wheel house, trunk drop offs, windshield channel, fenders and doors need small patches, very light patching needed on floors (does not require floor plan replacement), LH trunk panel needs to be replaced,one 3" patch needed on top of hood. Parts included: Rolling chassis, body shell w/doors, fenders, doors, front valance, hood and decklid,all glass except windshield, all door/window mechs/locks, two IP's, one with gauges,dashpad, front bucket seats (need to be recovered), rear seats (need cleaning only), gas tank, all stainless trim, door and 1/4 armrests, ignition switch, shocks, two noses(one chrome w/ fixedlights), one Endura with no lights, hidden headlight components,rear bumper (needs rechrome), includes 275/60/15 and 235/60/15 fr and rear tires on Chevy rally wheels, 1/4 skins. outer wheelhouses, trunk drop offs,LH trunk pan, dash repair panel, steering column and wheel. Parts negotiable: one +.060 400 block w/ hole in one cylinder (needs sleeve), 7 good rods and cast flat top pistons+ one damaged rod w/no piston (ouch), #11 headsw/ one missing/damaged valve (double ouch),comp 270 Pontiac hydraulic flat tappet cam, exhuast manifolds. Body is primered red and gray and the body is on frame w/front clip installed. I showed it as green in the listing as that is it's original color. Any pics of the car painted green, media blasted and not primed or with the body off the frame are in process pictures shown to highlight an area of the car. Does not include the black GTO or either Harley in the pictures(although the '64 pan-shovel is for sale as well). I'll include the engine parts at the buy it now price. Also open to trades/partial trades of the following: enclosed car trailer, log splitter, Gibson (not Epiphone) guitars, Martin or Taylor acoustic guitars, 250cc or smaller dirt bike, 250cc or larger quad. I have a full inventory of the bagged/tagged boxes as well as the PHS report. Car is available for viewing in Utica, Mi. by appointment. The reserve is equal to the cost of the media blast and priming. There is approx. $500 in repair panels included with the car. Clean Mi. title in my name.
