PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING FOR PRO'S AND CON'S OF THIS VEHICLE & TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE. I have for sale a 1984 Pontiac Firebird 400 SBC cheater block with a 4-Speed 700R4 Automatic transmission. The vehicle has just less than 90,000 miles on it. I have a Clean Indiana title for this car and is ready to be signed over to the new owner. It has tilt steering, power steering, single disc CD player, and some aftermarket gauges. This is an A/C vehicle but it has all been removed with exception of the HVAC box. The heat does work. There are some defects (as seen in pictures), scratches, dings & dents, and the paint is kind of rough. This body is pretty darn clean if I do say so myself. I implore you to look underneath the car. Most of the time these sometimes look good up top but the chassis is a different story, this one is just the opposite. I am not trying to talk the vehicle up or down but the pictures probably make it look nicer than it is (I just don't want people coming to look at it and expecting a show room vehicle as it is 27 years old). Since I have owned the car I have had all of the following replaced/upgraded to: - '76 400ci SBC that only has the 2 freeze plugs on each side - "Cheater Block" - 87' 700R4 out of WS6 (higher spline input shaft = stronger transmission) with torque arm - WS6 suspension both front and rear - WS6 cross-member & stiffener brackets - Electric Cooling Fan - Headers & mostly mandrel bent exhaust - 87' Trans Am interior pieces - Trans Am rims - Front wheel bearings, pads, rotors, seals - Rear shoes, cylinders, hardware - VSS conversion so the cable speedometer works - Alternator - Starter - Battery - Tune up - cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter - Headlights go up and down This was a project car I originally got with out a motor or transmission and was just a shell. I bought a rough 1987 Trans Am WS6 that a lot of the parts were pulled out of. I drove this to work on and off to keep it moving, but I have my 4th kid on the way so it's time to get rid of the toys and prepare for yet another child. The BAD: Cracked windshield through the middle side to side, headliner is gone and needs replaced, a piece here and there of the interior is missing. The motor is in need of a rebuild I assume. It has a Quadra-Jet that wasn't adjusted properly so when you get on it or first start it up it smokes. (I bought the engine in this condition.) If it is just idling it doesn't smoke... It can be driven like this no problem. Please don't tell me all about your sob story/problems; we all have them so keep them to yourself.
