Vehicle Detail
1969 Mercury Cougar. 351W 4V, duel exhaust, Power steering, Power front disc brakes A/C. Selling for estate, One owner bought in California and relocated to Arizona 9-89 with 38392 miles on az title. Estate got duplicate title and registry put box “C” not actual. They are trying to get another title, might or might not. I don’t know if its 40 or 140K. I’m not making that call, some say “yes” some say “no”. I think it is 40K. Verified stored inside garage in early 90’s when owner got sick. Odometer shows 40040 now. No rust, ever, anywhere I could find. Floor boards and truck are amazing. No filler, ever, anywhere I could find. Solid, Solid, SOLID car. This is just the way it was pulled out last week. Hasn’t been washed or cleaned. Carb was all gummed up and estate does not want to put a lot into it so I put an old Edelbrock on it and she started right up. Ran good, no knocks, no smoke. I put 5 gal gas and drove it one mile. Shifted good. Bad gas has kicked in and starts but not drivable well. Would need to be trailered or towed. Original carb in trunk. Needs tank drained. Got back and headlights were closed. Right TS worked left did not, I think it is in the wiring under dash. Had fender bender in the 80’s, the hood and left fender is used. Has typical door dings, some small dents and a small dent at rear of right ¼. Very easily repaired. Top of dash has two cracks. All glass is good and all windows work. Interior is very nice. Only rips are drivers seat bottom. Door panels and carpet very nice. Headliner has tears. A/C belt is off but everything is there. This is probably one of the easiest restorations you’ll find or change the fluids, rebuild the carb and drive. BE PREPARED, YOU BID, YOU BOUGHT IT. Full payment within one week. I can store a little while. 928-300-9807On Nov-19-11 at 16:00:35 PST, seller added the following information:Forgot, has tilt steering. Hood and left fender are blue.
