Hello classic Chevy pickup enthusiasts world wide, Up for auction is THE nicest '64 Chevy short bed available on Ebay , and the best you will find for the money! In fact, there is over $25,000 invested but we are willing to let this go at a fraction of that investment . There are a lot of mid sixties pickups out there with a "quicky" paint job and cheap interior. This is NOT one of those . This would be considered more of a high end clean semi show truck that one could be proud to take to shows and cruise nights all over. What we have here is a California born & bred 1964 Chevy short bed that is extremely straight, never been in an accident, and something that was/is rust free. There is only 1,000 pampered miles since the truck was built. It is painted in high gloss black urethane - and it's entire sheet metal, door jambs, hood jambs, and inside bed/tailgate jambs are also painted body color to match. It is rich in color and very deep. Inside the bed is immaculate . The fender wells are extremely straight as is the rest of the inside area. The tailgate on both sides are straight as well. And speaking of the tailgate - we opted to have custom latches installed which lock the tailgate from the inside. They are also chrome plated and this newer set up eliminates original tailgate chains which always scratch the paint as most of you know. No expenses were spared on this vehicle - especially when it came to chrome . All bumpers, bolts,grille, headlight bezels,antenna, door handles, mirrors, etc were professionally chrome plated. What really stands out on the pickup and accents it nicely are the powder coated wheels manufactured from "Wheel-Smith" out of Orange County , California. They are done in yellow and come with a new set of thin beauty rings and moon caps with "bowtie" pressed in them. These wheels are mounted on BFGoodrich radials - 225/60x15 up front , and 255/60x15 in the rear. This truck has all brand new glass on it and the sides are factory smoked tint. Along with that is brand new rubber and felt. Side door glass rolls up and down with ease. the upholstery in this beauty is as stunning as the exterior. Done in tan shade of leather - the seats have belts for both driver and passenger safety. Bottom doors have small area's where 2 of the 4 speakers are mounted on custom made tan upholstered panels. The steering column is a GM tilt and has a Grant walnut wood sport wheel . It feels very nice to the touch and looks great . A 4 way sound system was professionally installed though out and is powered by end Pioneer AM/FM stereo / CD player. face of stereo "pops out" for CD insertion. It truly sounds like an orchestra . As you can see in the photo's - the vibrant chrome continues inside this beauty as the handles, cranks, ash tray, glove box door, and door panels are all chrome plated. All headlights, tailights, turn signals, parking lights, heater, windshield wipers, and parking brake work perfectly. DRIVETRAIN: The engine in this pickup is a hipo 327 - rebuilt with a mild Isky for more performance and a great idle sound. Engine is balanced and all internals machined for longevity. A set of S&S headers are attached to a brand new set of dual exhaust with 2" pipe and Flow Master mufflers. Combined, it gives this a great tone as well as performance. An Edelbrock intake manifold and 4 barrel 600 CFM carb transfer fuel to the engine properly . The 4 row radiator is rebuilt with new cores. A fan shroud insures everything runs as cool temperature wise as possible.All new hoses were installed during restoration. A "Super-Start" battery is also newer and cranks the truck over perfectly . As you can see in the photos, everything is dressed in lots of chrome and highly detailed. The transmission is a Turbo 350 three speed automatic which is mated to the GM tilt column . A mild shift kit was installed and makes it shift very positive but nothing too much. A 12 bolt GM rear diff was installed and also a rear sway bar. As stated previously, there is way over $25,000 spent on the gorgeous pickup. If you are serious we will gladly talk over the phone and work out a deal.
