This is a 1998 Pontiac Firebird, v6, automatic. I am selling it as the engine has spun a bearing, and no longer runs. It has been sitting for approximately 2 weeks. The car has approximately 120,000 miles on it. The engine is not original, it was put in the car 1 year ago. The 3800 series 3 engine block is a viable replacement, but it requires that the accessiories, intake, oil pump and oil pan be switched over. Everything matches up, and the computer has no issues with the 3800 Series 3. This engine block is very common, and can be obtained from many junkyards well under $1000 with low miles, and is where the current block was obtained. From a Grand Prix. The details on the car are all done in paint, and the paint is in good condition with two exceptions: There's is a 1/16" paint chip in the drivers side door, and underneath the passenger's side door is a dent that isn't visible unless you are almost lieing on the ground. There are a couple very light scratches on the front quarter panels. The pictures don't do the paint job justice, the firebird emblem is in black, and the foglight/turn signal area is done in black that fades into the blue. The interior is in good condition, with a couple minor points: The dashpad is cracked, the drivers side door has a spot of wear at the point the door meets the dash. The car details are as follows: Automatic 3.8L v6 T-tops Monsoon stereo system in good condition with an aftermarket JVC head unit, that accepts both USB drives and Ipod input. Power Windows Remote starter/alarm The car is customized and comes with the following aftermarket items: Custom WS9 Ram Air hood by U.S. Exotics (Functional Ram Air, it's very unlikely you'll find anyone with a similiar hood) WS6 Air Box (Ram Air airbox) Whisper Lid Pacesetter Headers Magnaflow Hiflow cat Magnaflow 2.5" Catback with 3" exhaust tips Alluminum driveshaft 32mm front sway bar with poly bushings Moog hard rubber LCA bushings BMR shock tower brace Turn One high performance power steering pump Steel braided brake lines Anoidized blue alluminum fluid cap covers, including brake fluid resovior cover (Oil fluid resorvior and brake fluid resovior currently not on) The windows are tinted. The running lights are all tinted lenses. I also have a throttle body spacer that I hadn't yet put on. The battery is about 1 year old, as are the front tires and have alot of tread on them. The rear tires are brand new snow tires. The rotors are only about 1 month old. Currently the Y-pipe, Oil pump, and Oil pan are all not in place, but they are present. If you're looking for a project car, the LS1 can be used in this car with a little effort, I can direct you to a website specializing in F-body's that has a great amount of detail on the conversion. If LS1 isn't your thing, there's plenty of room under the hood for the engine of your choice. Vehicle History: I purchased this vehicle in approximately 2001 with 36,000 miles on it. About 7 years ago it was in a side-impact accident that resulted in the driver's side door being replaced. 2 years ago, I had the above listed modifications installed, and had the car repainted. Last summer, the heater hose went bad, and due to the delay in getting a replacement part from GM, I ended up with coolant in the oil. At that point I replaced the block with a 3800 Series 3 block out of a Grand Prix, with 66,000 miles on it. I have driven it without issue until 2 weeks ago, when a bearing was spun and the engine died.
