Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING FOR PRO'S AND CON'S OF THIS VEHICLE & TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE. I have for sale a 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T Coupe with the Mitsubishi 3.0 V6 engine and F4A51 4-speed Automatic "slap-shift" transmission. The vehicle has just less than 165,000 miles on it. I have a Clean Indiana title for this car and is ready to be signed over to the new owner. It has power windows, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, power driver seat, heads up display (temperature/heading), 4-disc CD changer built into stereo, premium Infinity sound from factory, leather, auto-dim rear view mirror, tilt steering, and the "slap-stick" transmission selector. The A/C blows cold and the heat works as well. There is a couple rust spots (as seen in pictures), scratches, dings and dents. I am not trying to talk the vehicle up or down but the pictures probably make it look nicer than it is (I just don't want people coming to look at it and expecting a show room vehicle as it is 10 years old). Since I have owned the car I have had all of the following replaced: - Transmission overhauled with all updates and new pump - Brake pads and rotors front and rear - Sway bar links front and rear - Front wheel bearings - Full tune-up = factory plugs, wires, cap, rotor - Upper and lower intake gaskets (required for tune-up) - Valve cover gaskets - Radiator - Upper and lower radiator hoses - Thermostat - Water pump - Full timing belt job = timing belt, belt pulleys, tensioner - O2 sensors - EGR Valve - Passenger side inner and outer tie rod ends - Battey in 2011 I try to take care of my vehicles and half of what was done to the engine was strictly preventative maintenance - not because it was bad or broke. Now for the bad - the vehicle most likely needs new tires. The tread looks good but around 50mph the steering wheel vibrates. It's not the brakes - you can push the pedal all you want and the vibration doesn't change, and below 50mph it isn't there. You can hear there is what sounds like flat spots on the tires... Also, I haven't gotten an alignment on the vehicle since the tie-rods were put on, so it will need one. I was only waiting to get one for when I was going to buy new tires, but life changes. The CEL is on for EGR flow insufficient but doesn't affect the driving of the vehicle. It seems to go on and off at will... The reason I am getting rid of this car is because my wife and kids were driving it and now we have a fourth child on the way; 4 car seats/booster seats do not fit in this sporty 5 seater. Please don't tell me all about your sob story/problems; we all have them so keep them to yourself. The vehicle is being sold AS-IS, WHERE IS, WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED, WRITTEN, OR IMPLIED. It KBB's for $2,225 in Fair condition. E-mail me via the eBay link if you would like to ask questions about the vehicle or possibly set up a time to look at it. Please no tire kickers, time is money, and I take my money very seriously.
