Vehicle Detail

1973 Big Block 454, PS, PB, AT Chevy Monte Carlo California Car purchased from an Estate Sale, title in family trust name still - ONE OWNER, very limited edition. The trustee stated the car has 35k original miles. And it really does look like it is a low mile car. The low wear on the carpet, steering wheel, and other things indicate this is high probability truth. The rubber is in good shape considering 36 years. It appears to be the original paint and like it has never been in an accident. You can see from the trunk pictures that most importantly it was never hit in the rear or quarter panels. Someone used touch up paint on two chips on the passenger front fender. But there are surprisingly very few chips in the paint and only one small ding. All in all it has a very nice shine to it like a 3 year old car with the exception that the badges are a little faded. The Chrome is absolutely perfect, like new with no pits scratches or dings. Other then light surface rust the car is rust free. The green interior is about perfect as well. There are no cracks in the dash. And the only flaws in the interior are a small rip on the drivers side of the seat on one seam and one small tear on the headliner. The power windows and locks still work! The drivers side door however does not open from the inside. The engine is very strong, doesn't smoke and runs really well hitting on all 8 cylinders. It lights them up at a light if you press the gas pedal too quickly and chirps the 17" 255 ZR 50 tires between gears if you are hard on the gas. Everything in the engine compartment appears to be all original as well with the exception that somebody removed the California Smog Pump, put an aluminum intake on it and electronic ignition (better gas mileage). AT rebuilt as the seals often go bad in an automatic that has sat for years. The rear end is posi traction. The power steering is nice and tight like a low mileage car with no play. The power brakes work well and suspension feels good. This car is solid, a pleasure to drive, and it gets a lot of looks, very cool. :) That is all I can think of. Good Car and tremendous value for the price compared to what you can for the money.. Please don't hesitate to call Ron @ four zero eight.781.8445 or email rburger01 att geemail if any questions.
