Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1993.5 Cadillac Allante (1993 and a half are marked buy the code V4J on the option sticker in the trunk, if you buy a 1993 Allante you need to get the one with the V4J code as they have many upgrades to the earlier models). This is the very rare Montana Blue, only 149 ever made in this color. Has the blue soft top. The car is completely dry and rust free. Out side of minor door dings there is no body damage. The paint is very nice except for the rear bumper and the top part of the right (passenger side) rear quarter panel (see pics). On these parts there is problems with the clear coat fading (see pics). The top part of the rear quarter, rear bumper, and the hard top ( the hard top is light blue) could be repainted. The interior is very nice with only minor wear. There is discoloration in the dash (very common with this color of interior). The seats are nice. The carpet is nice. The center power tower is nice, and the LCD read out in OK, but there is some fogging, and not all letters are complete, but you can easily read everything. The soft top has issues, the cloth is not torn or ripped, but it is discolored (see pic), ( this car came with a blue canvas soft top from the factory) Also all of the top pull down motors have all been removed ( BOTH FRONT AND BACK ) Something the person I bought it from failed to tell me. These are available on ebay. The hard top is in excellent condition, but the back window will need to be cleaned as there was at one time window tint on it that has since pealed off.. It is light blue with a black headliner (FYI all 93 hard tops had black headlines). It will need to be painted to match the car. This hard top is a phase one top and has not been converted to fit this car. Conversion kits are sold on ebay, and are inexpensive. You can however put the top on the car and drive it home or have it transported. I have done this with phase one tops on phase two cars, (long trips) more than once. A/C works, but is low on freon, and will need to be recharged. All options on the car work as they should, except for the Power top motors (front and back) to the windows and window switches, to the stereo, and power antenna, also the power seats, mirrors, and all gages. Drivers side sun visors is missing the vanity mirror. The tiers are Yokohama's, with lots of tread left, but they are sings of try rot on them. I drove the car from southern California to Boise Idaho on these tires with no problems, but it if you want to drive car home on them it is at your own risk. There are no chips or cracks in either the head light (see pics) The taillights are nice to (see pic). The engine runs strong, but the service engine light does come on. I do knot know why. I bought this car in southern California, drove it to Boise Idaho with out any problems. Unfortunately California only has a enough money to collect vehicle taxes and title fees, but not enough money to print a title and mail it. It took about year and I had to get help from an attorney before California sent me a title. So I was unable to register the car and could not drive it. I just had the oil changed and the car seem to run good, but because of it not being driven much lately and because of the dry rot in the tiers. I would recommend having car shipped if you live far away, but it is your choice. If you want to fly in and drive home I can pick you up at the Boise airport. This car will need some TLC and is being sold strictly "AS - IS". If you have any questions please ask. I have a clear and clean California Title in my name. Car is located in Eagle (just out of Boise) Idaho, the zip is 83616. I am about 8 miles north of I-84. TEARMS: CAR SOLD "AS - IS" There is a $500 non refundable deposit due (through paypal) with in 48 hours of end of auction. The balance is due with in 7 days on end of auction.
