I bought this VW a few years back, thinking that I would completely restore it and drive it back and forth to work. I lost the motivation when I lost my job. I had the motor completely rebuilt with only a few hundred miles logged onto it since the rebuild in 2008. I hate to see the car just sit and go down hill. It would be nice if someone would get this car and complete it. It also has a new paint job, but the painter was looking for an easy way out and didn't pull the windows before painting. Needless to say, it is now starting to show around the windows of where he masked next to the rubber sealing. The car is solid with no rust. The headliner and carpet has been pulled out ready for new. It has new floor-pans front and back with all the hardware to make the sunroof work. I also have the front and rear bumpers but just never took time to put them back on after the paint job. Car is very drivable, but will need minor repairs to the brakes. I have more money into this car than I expect out of it. It would be nice project car for someone with more motivation and money than I have. Good Luck!!!!
