Anybody out there learn to drive in their grand pa’s pick up. Well I did. It was a 1970 F100 Red pickup. The truck was perfect, to me anyway, when me and paw took it to the lake. The fishing rods would just fit corner to corner in the short WB bed. I purchased this truck from an elderly man in Tarrant, AL who was almost the same age as my paw. He got it new in 1970. The truck has 79k original miles and runs just perfect. The transmission shifts out every time. Driving this truck will take you back to a simpler time with manual brakes and steering. A time when the only ac was the 240. That’s two windows down at 40 mph. The truck has new tires and dual exhaust with a V8 302 that just amazing. I recently took the truck two hundred miles one way without any problems. Folks, that’s three hours down the interstate on a hot day at 70 to 80 mph, and I believe every head turned on the highway to check her out. Every time I drive it to Wal-mart, people just pull up and ask me about my good running truck. I had hoped to make a super show truck out of it, but my new apartment tells me that I only get two parking spaces. My entire family is arguing over who should get the truck, so I’ve decided to let her go to the highest bidder. If they want to out bid you, then it’s theirs.
