Volkswagen 1972 VW Bug This auction is for a 1972 Volkswagen. I believe it is a Super Beetle. This bug is in real good shape with no rust, there is a small hole back where the battery sets (see pictures) but the rest of car is rust free. This car has been setting for 25+ years. I bought it up to restore but need to sell it now to pay bills. Car was inside that whole time. Car is from Texas but now is in Lincoln Nebraska. This is a restoration project. Odometer is reading 72861 and does have a good Nebraska title. Motor runs (see video) but has no brakes and gas tank will probably need to be pulled out and flushed because it smells like stale gas. It comes with a set of NEW mats (see pictures), and a new glove box. It looks like to me that it has a stock gas heater (see pictures) because above the gas tank sets something that looks like a heater and it has a line coming from the gas tank. PLEASE NOTE update 11-08-2011 I was told by someone that what looks like a gas heater is actualy part of the Fuel Evaporative Control System. Also has some extra parts (see pictures) and anything else I find that goes with it. Overall this is a great restoration project. Car must be paid for within 4 days. Local pickup only. Pay Pal, Cash on pick-up, cashier's check, Money Order, Loan check. Buyer is responsible for pick-up and seller will not help load car. Buyer has 30 days from date of sale to remove car or a storage charge of $30 per month storage. Storage must be paid on date due or there will be a $5 a day late fee. Storage will not be prorated.
