Vehicle Detail
Let me start by saying I have recently gone part time in my career to pursue my passion for automobiles. I have been an amateur auto restorer most of my life so this is a natural transition for me. I search auctions for interesting automobiles, cars I myself would love to own. I love Mercedes, particularly older ones, for the money they are hard to beat, think about other comparable vehicles in this price range, none of them can come close to Mercedes build, reliability, longevity and safety, treat yourself to a Mercedes, you will never look back. Please note this Mercedes does have a salvage title, I haven't figured out why yet, it ran and drove when I bought it, only replaced the passenger fender, headlight and upper control arm, airbags were still intact, no frame damage, wrinkles, anything under the sheet metal, purely cosmetic damage! I don't always understand why they give some vehicles salvage titles and others with much worse damage a clean title but look at it as your gain! Because of the salvage title this ML320 will save you money! If you aren't familiar with salvage titles all you have to do is apply for the title normally with the exception of filling out another form and providing receipts for the parts needed to repair the vehicle, I will be happy to do this for the buyer if they would like. As far as damage like I mentioned, I only replaced the passenger fender, headlight and upper control arm, there was also a dent in the passenger front door and a tear in the bumper. Both of these were repaired and repainted, overall the vehicle looks great! The interior cleaned up well, I am very picky about clean interiors, to the point of removing the seats and much of the rest of the interior to scrub everything before reinstalling. The carpet still has some stains (hard to get tan carpet clean) but overall is nice. The drivers seat has a spot about an inch long where the seam has come unstitched, there is also a bit of fading on the bolsters of the drivers seat, otherwise the seats are perfect. The only other flaw with the interior is the headliner on the sunroof slide is dropping a bit, I will try to get that fixed by the end of the auction. The paint is overall in good condition, especially for a 12 year old vehicle. This ML320 drives great! Typical Mercedes tight safe feel, there are no squeaks, rattles, funny noises anything. Everything works, you will not be disappointed! Tires, it will need two front tires, they will get you home but I would replace them fairly soon. I have tried to describe this vehicle as well as possible, take a look at the pictures, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am sure people are wondering about the extent of the accident damage, after reading the vehicle report and especially the description of a salvage vehicle I feel like I should add a picture of the car as I bought it so you can see for yourself the accident was purely cosmetic. The last picture is a picture of the vehicle from the auction, the bumper, fender and headlight are removed but you can tell there isn't any damage to the inner structure of the vehicle, even the original headlight was still 99% intact and the fender was probably repairable but I chose to replace it anyway. As you can see from the picture the car should not have been written off as a total loss, don't understand it but again it is your gain! Hope this helps!
