Vehicle Detail
This Bonnie has been in my possession for the last 17 years and has had a lot of recent upgrades such as new clutch(2010), rebuilt front end with new fork sliders/ seals, front end triple tree bearings and rear shocks with swing arm bushings(2008), The engine had a top end job with overbore and new valves with seats cut by old Triumph guy and completed /cranked in May 2008 and I don't ride every week so limited mileage only local weekend local fun rides around 10-20 miles when weather right since rebuild and showing 2650 miles on replacement spedo. This MC cranks on first kick with proper technique and the charging system functions and battery holds voltage well. The spedo, tach and clutch cables were replaced with new also and original was faded and showing 9500 miles and I didn't want a rebuild. This M/C does not have a title and not required on vehicle this old in Georgia but is registered and I can provide a bill of sale with purchase. There are some retitling firms that may be of help if your state requires for operation and your home state may offer retitling. This mc isn't a show bike as show bikes are mostly for "show" and don't get rode and some items are not British made OEM stock such as spedo and tach and rear shock which are high quality Japanese made for Triumph and are better looking also and spedo/tach work very smoothly. The gas tank mount for example doesn't have the "glitter" piece that covers the mount hole thru gas tank and the color is a high quality two part urathane British racing green in metal flake and I chose to paint the air cleaner cover this color also and looks good. The gas tank has also been "creemed" and is solid and leak proof . This bike has never left me sitting on the road and has been dependable but it is time for me to move on but I will miss when its gone. The actual mileage is unknown and I guess about 15,000 or so actual miles due to original mileage and mileage I rode. This bike doesn't seem to have been abused by previous owner(s) and no signs of any damage with solid frame and bike has solid feel and very good handling. This bike doesn't have turn signals, horn, rear view mirror and not really missed and not required for operation but these details are fairly easy to take care of if you desire. This era of "Bonnie" is not as expensive to own as some other "exotic" brands as there are reproduction parts from various sources and many spares on ebay also and this is good when you don't have unlimited funds. There are other parts that have been replaced such as exhaust system and bike stored in enclosed shop. The bid price is the reserve, and I hope this encourages bidding. If you are local come and check out. If you aren't local and need a need shipper there are independent shippers that are cheaper than you would expect and I can recommend one if you request. Check out youtube posting of running and shifting gears at http://youtu.be/ZqdXAMC9-RE I just wanted to state again that I cannot be certain of total mileage since new and the mileage entry block won't let enter unknown so I entered to the best of my knowledge based on old speedometer on m/c..
