1992 Chevrolet G30[listing doesn't have a G30 OPTION BUT THIS IS WHAT IT IS] 6.2 DIESEL CUSTOM VAN/CONVERSION VAN. I bought this van back in '08 and had big plans of doing a complete 70's era style custom job on it[and still may finish it] but @ the moment I'll throw it out here 2 c what it does[if there is any interest on it]! It was in the paint shop for 2 years until last month[why it was there this long I don't really know,it wasn't that hard of a theme to paint], and a lot of 'life' has happened within the last 2 years and a part of me still wants 2 c it finished but a part of me[and even more my wife] says we have tooo many vechicles @ home and I don't really need it[+ I just bought a custom van that we will using over the holidays[I LOVE DRIVING CUSTOM VANS DURING WINTER TIME/THE HOLIDAYS]! Also,I have my rare 1/2 ton dsl.pickup and my rare dsl.suburban SO something[a couple of things really need 2 go I guess]. Plus,then today I just bought an old camaro and now I'm really screwed for space! Anyways,for the most part the van runs/drives good[HOWEVER I WAS GOING TO DRIVE IT ACROSS TOWN THIS PAST SUNDAY TO STORED IT @ A FRIENDS HOUSE AND IT WAS DRIVING/SHIFTING GREAT UNTIL I STOPPED @ A CARWASH NEAR MY HOME TO RINSE IT OFF AND WHENEVER LEAVING CARAWASH TRANS.DID NOT WANT TO SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR-???! SOOO,I HEADED BACK HOME AND RT.WHENEVER I GOT ON MY STREET IT STARTED TO SHIFT PERFECTLY AGAIN SO I ONCE AGAIN HEADED ACROSS TOWN TO MY BUDDY'S AND STOPPED @ A LIGHT WHICH WAS LIKE THE 5TH.LIGHT THAT I HAD STOPPED @ AND IT DIDN'T WANT TO SHIFT OUT OF FIRST AGAIN SO I TOOK IT BACK HOME AND PARKED IT. I DIDN'T TOUCH IT UNTIL LAST NITE[2 DAYS LATER] WHEN THEN I ADDED A CAN OF TRANS.X AND DROVE IT FOR 15 MINUTES AND IT SHIFTED OUT PERFECTLY AGAIN-??? SOOO I'M HOPING IT JUST NEEDS ITS FLUID/FILTER CHANGED SO # 1 KEEP THIS IN MIND THAT IT MAY NEED TRANS.WORK AND # 2 IF U R NOT LOCAL U PROBABLY WILL WANT TO HAVE IT SHIPPED! BUT HONESTLY CHANGING FLUID/FILTER MAY DO THE TRICK]! I'm sure from sitting @ the paint shop for 2 years it will need a dsl.tune up/fluid changes[Along with.trans.fluid/filter] . It starts good,idles smooth,but why accelerating it acts a little sluggish like if it were a gas mtr.its choke would be on a little bit but it shouldn't be anything serious[overall runs great-probably just needs filters changed]. In fact it didn't do this before staying @ paint shop for 2 years so I'm thinking it may need a fuel filter replaced or something of this nature and sometimes it seems to clear up perfectly sooo. Vans windows r not working[both did work but very slowly,good news though is mtrs.r very cheap here on eBay,$35.00 each with free shipping],pwr.windows work,ac works but compressor clutch is starting to go out[but NO freon leaks],rear air works too,and I added a nice pioneer din and a half detachable radio to it. I also added a very cool/retro smaller style chrome steering wheel 2 it[not the kind u can buy 2-day @ any auto parts store either-it's vintage 70's style]! And I put on some brand new 16" custom wheels/custom raised white letter tires[$1,250.00 alone n these babies]. And last,I pd.$2 grand for its custom paint job which is not like a 5-10 grand show paint job but it's pretty darn nice[wholesale priced 2 me 2]! @ the moment it has 4 captain chairs/rear seat and front area red carpet from a '93 Chevy custom van that I had a couple of years ago but besides maybe using these seats,everything else I planned on doing 2 van would be totally custom. The only other thing that I can think of that the van needs is weatherstripping on all doors[sold here on eBay for $160.00 with free shipping]. VAN IS SUPER COOL,IS DEFINETELY ONE OF A KIND,AND IS WELL WORTH WHERE I AM PRICING IT @!
