Vehicle Detail
NOTE: This item is being re-listed because the high bidder on the last auction backed out of the sale. The bidder told me he was buying the bike for the motor only, which he planned to put into a small BMW sports car. He refused to complete the transaction because his mechanic told him that the 1200cc engine would not fit the car. He was very apologetic, but it is what it is. Mileage: 20K +/- Condition: Mechanically, excellent, I would not hesitate to go anywhere on this bike. Cosmetically, it ain’t the prettiest GS out there, it’s got some scrapes, some glue and some tie wraps. If you want an absolutely pristine GS, move along, this ain’t it. Pros: Tires, 95% front and 85% rear, lots o’ mileage left Heated Grips that work really well Fastway Pegs New battery within past month Throttle lock Final drive is solid, no play Cons: As stated above some scrapes, glue and tie wraps Instrument cluster - The Tach works, as well as the warning lights. The Speedo doesn’t, hence the non-oem speedo. My guess is that since all the other things work on the cluster, that the speedo would also if the pickup was replaced. Since the non-oem works so well, I never felt the need to get it repaired. ABS brakes - The ABS unit along with all of the original brake lines are on the bike. The unit has been bypassed. The brakes work well and as I have seen, that very often, the ABS is bypassed with out any problems. The ABS unit may be functional, but I do not know. The reserve price is set at the part out price.
