1971 VW camper van in Sierra Gold (Sierragelb L 11H) built in Germany in 05/71. Just took it for a 50 mile trip to take some pics. Have done several 300-450 mile trips this past summer without problems. Cruises at 60 mph all day. Have taken it to 75mph however I do not like to push this baby. Original engine/4 speed tranny. Has spent its whole life out here in Alberta except for trips out to the coast and up to the Yukon. Originally belonged to a lady of German background in Edmonton who used to take it on many trips before she became unable to travel. Comes with notebook with detailed notes of gas used, price of gas, distance traveled and repairs. Comes with original Blaupunkt AM radio. Canvass including cot is in dusty but good condition. Interior is in great condition. Rust areas should be visible in the pics. All weather radials. Has a gas auxiliary heater which I have not tested recently. The regular heating system works surprisingly well and pumps out hot air although I have never driven it in the winter. Starts right away. Clear title, registered in Alberta.
