1957 Porsche 356 Speedster - Replica. Private Sale. Here is a clean, affordable 356 Speedster Reproduction. Overview:The fiberglass body sits on a steel framed reinforced 1973 Standard Volkswagen chassis. The car is currently licenced and insured here in Ontario, Canada. It passed a comprehensive Provincial MTO safety inspection in June 2011.ONLY 70 KMS ( 45 miles) since the kit received final assembly. Titled as a 1973 Volkswagen. Chassis:Rust free chassis. The floor pans have been replaced. Fully undercoated and chassis painted black. The 73' VW chassis has 120,000 kms (74,600 miles). Mechanical:The car has completly been reworked with all new/fresh items. This work was completed in June 2011 - 70 kms ago. Mechanical items came from California Import Parts and when available "German" quality parts were used. New Coil New Alternator Belt New Pulley New Air Intake Fiter Paint:It shows and shines very well. The clear coat is not peeling or glazing. The car has a few (less than 6) small chips/scratches that are very hard to notice. (door sills/rear decklid). The car DOES NOT need to be painted. The paint would rate a 8 out of 10. Trim/Metal Work/Upholstery:All parts were new in June of 2011. The top, boot cover, window inserts are in "Stafast" material. The carpet kits are all new, the vinyl seat covers are new including seat belts, badging. steering wheel, etc. Engine/Transaxle:Stock 1600cc 4 Cyl VW engine. Single Carb. The engine is in excellent running order. Starts easy, No smoke. No knocks/pings. NO OIL LEAKS.Transaxle is original 4 speed. Clutch and throw-out bearing in great working order.
