Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1963 MGB Roadster. It is a California car, and like most from here, the car does not have a rust problem but the interior has seen some sun. This car has the preferred steel bumpers, steel dash, and pull type door handle. Recent work done to this car includes: New Fuel tank(Over $600 new from Moss) Painted Black. New Battery New Facet fuel pump New fuel filter Oil change with new felt type filter Rebuilt carburetor Transmission oil change Differential oil change Replaced right side rear brake cylinder (I have the other side that I will include it) New water pump and gasket Fan belt, Trunk lock I also have the brand new front disk rotors ready to be installed. I have also repainted the air filter covers, and have new air filters I also have other misc, items I will include such as the rear MG emblem. I Installed a cool looking period correct Steering wheel, I love the 60's era look of it. Some of the pictures might have the other one on it, I will include that one as well. I have done hours and hours of cleaning and greasing. Car has all original steel rims, and an identical spare. The original Jack is included as well. The car has an older CA blue license plate. To see a video of it running, go to You Tube and search for "1963 MGB Glynzym" I purchased this car from a retired MG mechanic with the intention of restoring it. I got a good start and ran into financial troubles, I lost my job.I really would like to finish this project, however I will re purchase a 1963 model again when I get work. In my opinion this is the best year to get. It is extremely simple to work on, and parts are very easy to find through Moss Motors, and Victoria British. MG had worked out any small wrinkles with the first model year 1962. I would never bother with anything but a steel dash, and steel bumper model MGB, the others were in my opinion were ruined by the Dept of Transportation requirements put upon MG. The later cars were weighed down and underpowered. This model has the rare pull handles, and no side marker lights and reverse lights. It also has the original seats with no ugly head rests. It has really simple charm to it. I would LOVE to finish this car, but my loss is your gain! I am pricing it to sell, I need to pay my mortgage. This car will need some work to be drivable. It will need new or rebuilt front calipers, as the ones on it have froze. It will need some work to the wiring harness. I have the engine running great with the oil pressure, jumping instantly up to around 60 when it idles. However last time I ran it there was a short in the wire going to the headlight switch. The rear harness will need attention as well, I have installed the new pump but only have it wired directly to the battery. there are some leaks under the differential, and the transmission(I think where the speedometer attaches.) There is a dent on the right side door. The original color of the car is red, however at some time it was painted black. The paint job has seen better days, if I were to finish it, I would paint it British Racing green with tan interior. That is a seriously classy look, although red seems to be very popular. With just a few repairs this car will be ready for the road and will make a cool car that will return on your investment. Please send me a message with any questions, I can send you pictures, or I have some videos. The older models like this 1963 and the 1962 are getting harder to find in this condition for this good of a price, as they are far more valuable when restored. Just try searching for one, you'll see what I mean. This car has a clean title and the registration it is good until 4/24/2012. This model year is not required it to be smog checked. This car is for local pick up, unless paid in full and arrangements are made. I will help with any reasonable requests. Please message me with any questions or call/text 760-576-5544. Serious inquiries please. I have many pictures and videos I can email, Best regards, and Happy bidding!
