Vehicle Detail
It has come time to part with my beast. I am a chemist and analytical in nature, so this car (as are all of my cars) have been maintained with the utmost attention to detail. This is a PERFECT example of an e39 m5.... This car has been meticulously maintained (both aesthetically and mechanically) since new. It was a 2 owner car when I purchased it from California (it was mostly in California and Arizona if I recall), it was a CPO car and had all the maintenance up to date at that point. I purchased it and then took it to the next level (I am very anal with maintenance and when I decide to replace something I do it always with OEM parts and to the utmost extent possible) I am going to list the Modifications then the Maintenance that has been done in the last year or 5500 miles (it is a TON). The maintenance was all done at either the dealership or at all european shops. All maintenance items replaced were NEW and were purchased from Turner Motorsports or Pelican Parts or Autohaus AZ online. These items are all OEM (Lemforder, TRW, Genuine BMW, etc etc) and no corners were cut meaning no FCP groton China ebay suspension kits...or stuff like that. Modifications Carbon Fiber Emblems all around Hardwired for Sirius radio (antenna, receiver everthing done VERY cleanly, no wires hanging or anything of that sort) Custom smoked LED Oem Tailights (top white strip has been done, as seen in the pictures, it looks great) E60 Short shifter modification, with ZHP M shifter with leather stitched boot in M colors Titanium Ebay handle with stitched boot in M colors (matches shifter boot) PSS Bilstein Coilovers Beast Power (red) swaybar end brackets Krafstab Industries Front Upper Strut Mount Brace DINAN Upper Rear Strut Brace M5 logo'd OEM floor Mats including hard to find M5 logo'd carpet trunk mat Carbonblack license plate holder (perfect color match) Painted AC Schnitzer Rear Window Diffuser/spoiler Smoked Foglights AFE PRO air (non-oiled filter elements) cold air intake with heat shields Brake Duct lower bumper grill (this was purchased not fabricated) Meisterschaft GT catback exhaust (deleted resonator, welded straight pipe from Oem cats to mufflers) OPTIMA 34R redtop battery (33 lbs vs 65 lbs for stock battery) All Powerflex Poly Bushings for Suspension OEM Hella HID headlights with LED halos (v3 orion) and 6k bulbs Smoked sidemarkers with LED marker lights Full white LED interior lighting 3M professionally installed 20% tint all around "Fake" shark fin antenna (looks tasteful) Flat Black Kidney grills Conforti Shark Injector Software uploaded (I will include the module in case you want to put the car to stock) Maintenance (All done within the last 10k, all done with OEM parts, no part spared!!, I have saved SOME of the old cooling system parts) COOLING SYSTEM New radiator, thermostat housing, thermostat, coolant reservoir tank with cap and upgraded brass bleeder screw (it looks WHITE not the ugly amber color, and the bleeder screw is a great upgrade from the flimsy plastic stock one) New accessory belts (continental)--replaced both New fan clutch, fan shroud, fan assembly New coolant temp sensor, o-rings, clamps and upper and lower radiator hoses New OEM Waterpump Fresh coolant! This whole Job alone with parts and labor total over 2500!!! And about 80% of the cars around this mileage have not had this done... Think of my car having a COMPLETE NEW COOLING SYSTEM... ENGINE/EMISSIONS Vanos unit resealed with new o-rings (previously done before I owned it) 4 New cam position sensors 2 New MAFs New oil recirculating lines (oil breather hoses) Oil Changed every 3500-4500 miles with Castrol or Mobil 1 only, new filters every time (obviously) Premium fuel only All New exhaust hangers and brackets (replaced because some were lose around the cat area and were making noise) STEERING High pressure lines all replaced New fluid SUSPENSION (Again all these parts plus the coilovers total over 4000 dollars in parts and labor) The reason I replaced all these parts below was because the car had 88k, the suspension felt "not right" to me, and I figured now that it was getting coilovers I wanted to do it right. ALL SUSPENSION PARTS ARE LEMFORDER (OEM) or TRW (OEM), this is not a CHEAP suspension kit, one control arm alone is about 200!!! But I figured if I was going to do this it was going to last another 80-100k!! New tie rods (inner and outer) New Power Flex control arm bushings New Upper and lower Control arms (full assemblies) New center drag link New struts and shocks (PSS Bilstein Coils!!) AS you can see this car has TONS of money invested (we all know that mods dont add that much value per se), however, The maintenance alone is worth around 8000+++ dollars. This car at 99,000 is essentially a "new" car. THE exterior paint has been cared for meticulously using only the finest car care products.(I TAKE THIS CAR TO THE BEST DETAILER IN DENVER and one of the best in the US) I wont tell you the car is PERFECT or MINT (because to me no car is perfect or mint, I have YET to see a perfect car in my 10+ years of detailing) BUT I will tell you the car is in GREAT shape, the only flaws are rock chips, and a bumper crack along the very bottom left corner of the bumper The paint has been: Clayed every 3 months Car has been garaged most of its life Car has NO SWIRLS (we all know how hard it is to maintain DARK paint!) Car waxed every 3-5 months with either a hard polymer sealant and or carnuba Interior cleaned weakly (the leather is in great shape, no tears, etc etc) Headliner is SPOTLESS NON SMOKER owned always (never been smoked in, there is still a pleasant leather smell) Clutch still seems good (FYI)..and I think it was replaced at 60k (previous owner) The paint is shiny, smooth, and well cared for (I admit I am OCD when it comes to this) The car has had most door moldings replaced, and the windshield trim was redone with a new WINDSHIELD (5 months ago...it still looks NEW) This car is a BARGAIN at this price, considering that it already has almost EVERY SINGLE ITEM that goes bad on this car done. Pt gas in it, and go another 100k without buying a car worth 1500-2k less in price, then worrying about..was this done..was this done??? This car retains a "stock look" but the exhaust tone, the suspension and the way it has been cared for gets looks and compliments ALL the time. I love my car but the ONLY REASON TO SELL....I want a 996 Turbo porsche......that is ALL If not I would keep it. CAR HAS NOT SEEN ANY SNOW OR WINTERS....NONE. It gets parked here in a few weeks (as colorado is starting to turn cold, icy..etc) and will be on a charger. CAR IS LOCATED IN DENVER, CO But I will arrange for delivery, pick up, transport....(I can go pick you up from the airport) Anything you need. THANKS FOR READING!!! I DO HAVE RECORDS FOR MOST IF NOT ALL THE PARTS AND LABOR ABOVE. Or you can come see the car (can be arranged) This is a perfect example of what this car should be, it has been cared for meticulously, even beyond NORMAL care....On Oct-20-11 at 12:06:37 PDT, seller added the following information: additional Stuff.. THE instrument pixels are OK, no fading or anything....the Paint on this car is in PRIStINE shape..i cant emphasize that enough!..always claybared, no swirls....just some chips...as it is obvious for a 10 year old car..ZERO rust. :) Someone is going to get a great car!!! AGAIn my only reason to part with this badboy is i am looking for a 996 TURBO porsche :D
