1989 Chevy S10 Pickup Ready for strip competition but just a few parts shy from an all-out-fun 390HP* street machine! HEARTBEAT: ‘350’ machined to 355 CI, block casting 3970010 date code 1-27-72, 70-73 Corvette or truck, 4 bolt main, 76cc ported heads, 1.94 intake, 1.5 exhaust. Comp hyd Cam CC268 with 1.52 rockers. 12.5:1 flattop pistons. Shaved/balanced steel crank. Edlebrock high-rise, port matched aluminum ‘Performer’intake with ported runners. Holley 750 dual feed, double pumper. MSD 6AL igntion system. New battery relocated in bed of truck. Hedman hedders. (*NOTE: we have no hard documentation of engine performance parts from C&C Motorsports (VA) and/or machine & engine assembly work performed by Fichtner Auto Machine (PP Florida) since being built over three years ago. We have not torn it down, but research has revealed the above professionally built engine as described, but not limited to, is to the best of our understanding.) TRANSMISSION: GM T400, Chevy truck transmission. Art Carr 10” 2800-3200 stall convertor. B&M ratchet shifter and extra capacity deep sump pan. REAR END: 10 bolt, Eaton ‘locker’ 3:73 Richmond gears, new seals & bearings. Rebuilt rear brake system: cyls, shoes, etc. Almost new Mickey Thompson 28x10.x15 Drag Slicks. Gabriel VST Velocity Sensitive Technology rear gas shocks. Lakewood ‘No-Hop’ traction bars. INTERIOR: stripped of major wiring harness, padding, jute backing/insulation, bench seat, headliner etc, it sports a padded composite racing seat with 5 point harness, oil & temp gauges, Sun Tachometer. GENERAL: 8 Gal fuel cell mounted in bed. Electric cooling fan on new radiator. LINE LOK master cylinder and all apparatus installed, although not operational (prob loose wire). Extra set of Cragar aluminum rear wheels/tires...and probably more we’ve missed!. This truck as described, Ready to go racin’…has been lightened/parts removed for better weight distribution, and it really could be an excellent drag racing vehicle OR, a super fun and super fast street machine with a few addition such as turn signals, mirrors, wipers and mufflers, which would be needed to make it 100% street legal. The motor runs very VERY strong, the trans shifts snappy/solid & rear end put the rubber-to-the-pavement racing! It hooks up awesome and this truck screams to be played with and raced!
