1991 Ford T-Bird SC Budweiser Red/Black Interior 5-SpeedIn this auction, I have a fairly rare 1991 Ford T-Bird SC budweiser red with the black leather interior, fully loaded with almost every available ford option, and it's the 5 speed version. I am regretfully putting this car up for auction as I purchased it over 2 years ago with the intention of fully restoring it to its original beauty. The main reason I bought this one, as you can see by the pictures, it is completely stock from the factory and unmodified as you see what happens to many of these cars. The only thing I see that may have been modified is the suspension, as this 1991 SC sits about 1 1/2 inches lower than our 1995 SC which still has the factory suspension. That's it, I can find no other modifications. This car has spent its entire life in Washington and these past two years in Oregon, so there is no rust on this car and it's straight all ways considered, as in drives straight, brakes straight, and corners like it should (on rails, four wheel independent suspension). According to the carfax or autocheck, the car was in a minor fender bender in the early 2000's, nothing serious or I would have never bought this car. If you check the facts on these thunderbird sc's, you will see that only 1905 of these cars were built in the 5-speed model, so you can reference The Supercoupe Club of Iowa and click on the spec., facts, and & figures tab and all the information for this car is listed there. This is the 3rd supercoupe that I've owned and I really love these cars. If you know of another car that has a V6 Supercharged engine, is a luxury sportscoupe, weighs almost 4,000 pounds, and goes 0 to "holy cow" and puts you back in your driver's seat AND gets 25 miles to the gallon, let me know! These cars are super fun to drive and you really don't see many of them on the street. Of 1905 of these 1991s, in the budweiser red with the black leather interior that have survived up to this point, I don't really know but it can't be that many because you just don't see them, unless you're at a car show or supercoupe club meet. Due to a change in my health and financial obligations, I can not restore this car at this time so I would like to see to see it go to someone that can restore this beauty. What I know that needs to be repaired to make her road worthy is as follows: 1) I believe the slave cylinder for the clutch is bad because the car does move in all gears but not like it should, so if the clutch was totally gone it wouldn't move at all. 2)The emergency brake cable is seized and it kicked out the ABS sensor so that would need to be repaired and ABS sensor reset. 3)The driver's seat could be redone as the leather is worn (common problem on leather seats), the interior is about an 8 out of 10. 4) A minor whine from the bearing on the supercharger pulley. 5) The hood could use a repaint because of some rock chips. This is the obvious of what I know that needs to be repaired. Overall, this is a very restorable car, getting more rare by the year. This car always starts even for the higher mileage, it's been apparently well maintained. The car sits on Z rated Michelin Pilot 225 60/ZR 16, 85% tread, factory alloys, worth way more than the starting bid. Sold as is as found so no returns accepted.
