Vehicle Detail
Beautifully Restored, Award Winning Wagon VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: OWNER HISTORY: The current owner (and his wife) purchased this beautiful Townsman Station Wagon in 2005. Being Chevy fans they started taking it to VCCA (Vintage Chevrolet Club of America) shows. Over the years they worked their way up from a Junior Award Winner, to a Senior Award Winner, to a Preservation Award Winner. It has been featured in the VCCA and Snap-On Tools calendars. Life has changed and they do not have the time to dedicate to this car so it is time for another caretaker to own and enjoy this beautiful Townsman Station Wagon. This car is a real head turner with the two-tone paint in dusk pearl and ivory. They do not get much better than this for perfection and originality! And…….. it is ready to go with a recent oil/filter service, new plugs and a Petronix distributor upgrade. During their ownership they replaced or repaired the following: Ignition Switch & Bezel Turn Signal Canceling Cam Sunvisor Sleeve Headlight Switch Front/Rear Seat Belts Seat Belt Reels Horn Center Emblem “Body By Fisher” Sill Plates Upper Radiator Hose Radio Speaker Air Cleaner Decal Dash Bezels (Wiper, Lights, & Lighter) Jacking Instruction Sticker 7.50-14 WWW Tires Engine Oil Pan Remote Oil Filter Conversion Electric Windshield Wiper Unit Speedometer Kick Panels Exhaust System MARQUE HISTORY: For 1957 Chevrolet had three Series of cars. The 150, the 210, and the Bel Air. The mid-range 210 had the distinctive side trim associated with the popular ’57 Bel Air, along with richer looking interiors. The 210 series looked more Bel Air like, especially when done in the optional two-tone color scheme. The 210 was the most popular Chevrolet model because it offered more luxury than the 150, and was less expensive than the Bel Air. 1957 was the first year a small block 283 V8 was offered in the 210. As in 1956, all Chevrolets with V8 power had large, V-shaped hood and deck lid ornaments. INCLUDED WITH PURCHASE: Rubber Front/Rear Floor Mats, Dusk Pearl Touch Up Paint, Reproduction Owner’s Manual, Rear Cargo Carpeted Mat, Trophies, Awards, VCCA Judging Sheets, Current Owner Receipts, Replacement Tailgate Cable, Original Oil Filter Canister, 1957 Chevrolet Service Manual.
