This car was listed twice before. I took it down to better look at the frame after a question came up(see below). I have greatly lowered the reserve. If it does not sell this time , I'll hold until Spring. Thank you all for looking. 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500. Car runs and stops as it should. I put a new master cylinder in the car when I bought it and driven it around my neighborhood. The car is not licensed or insured. I bought it at an auction as a winter project but another has come up and it will need to go. It came from an estate in Penns. and was driven by an older gentleman. ......CAR IS ADVERTISED LOCALLY, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY The needs that I have found are: interior needs work. The seats should be recovered and the carpet should as well. These are standard catalog items with a total cost of about $500. The windshield wiper switch is gone and replaced with a toggle switch on the dash and it works. Some of the emissions items are gone (see engine photo). If your state inspects these either fix it or don't buy this car. I am selling exactly what you see. Mileage is unknown.. The body is very solid, the top is new but it has a 2 inch split (see photo). It comes with the tonneau cover and cover for the top when it is down. It has a couple of repair manuals and the old master cyl and repair kit. This car would win trophies at local shows BUT is NOT a concourse car. This will make a fun summer driver...Ask questions early When this was last listed in auction format a question was asked about the frame near the muffler. I had not noticed but the has been a repair made. It appears to have been professionally repaired. A length of 1/4 inch steel was welded in place. I see no other issues but I expect you to inspect if concerned. I sell as is where is and will ALWAYS disclose any issues I know of.
