1955 Chevy 3100 Short Bed NO RESERVE AUCTION This truck runs and drivers perfect. That’s because all the hard work is completed. The chassis was laser build using a Mustang II coil over front end, with a 2.5 inch drop, with power steering and power front disk brakes. The rear end is a 1972 Nova 10 bolt with a posi unit and a 3:42 gear. The truck is riding on a new set of 15in wheels and all new tires. The engine is all new! A 350 roller with a mild cam, ceramic coated headers, and a Holly carburetor, pushing close to 375 hp. The transmission is all new! A 700r4 (overdrive) equipped with a Lokar shifter. The shifter features a park and natural lock out button. Over $6,500 was spend on the engine and transmission alone. The interior was designed very simple but with a nostalgic feel. Notice the tilt steering column and the white face AutoMeter gauge package; it really sets off the white painted dash. Additional equipment includes, a four core griffin aluminum radiator, all new brake lines, new fuel tank and fuel lines, and a complete wiring harness from front to back. All new floor insulation and rubber mat, and seat belts. All the glass, seals, door rubber, and lenses are new. The bumpers and grill look to be original but painted. The bed has a sheet of metal over the original wood. The truck was painted a few years ago, the body and paint is driver quality, could use new. This is a professionally built street rod.
