Vehicle Detail

2003 Honda CRF450R. Runs great, good condition, has been a very reliable bike. Mostly stock. Top-end re-built in 2009. Has Renthal bars and gears. DID gold chain. Serviced regularly with Maxima engine oil, Lucas synthetic additive and Honda oil filter. Maxima clutch oil. Coolant also serviced with 50/50 pre-mix. Also has a higher pressure cap to avoid coolant loss and steaming due to the factory low pressure cap. A MUST FOR THE DESERT!!! The following performed in 2010: Forks and shock rebuilt with Racetech front and rear springs. New Honda steering stem bearings, races and wipers. Swing-arm and link, bearings and bushings re-greased. Axle bearings and seals replaced and re-greased. Dunlop MX-51 tires plus an 8 paddle for Glamis. Needs throttle cable replaced, sticking. Have a new factory Honda cable for it, just needs to be installed. The bike hasn't been used for the last year.On Oct-16-11 at 23:00:29 PDT, seller added the following information: The following is in response to a message I received. --------------------- Thanks for the inquiry. The bike has always been garaged. It's never been in the sand since I've owned it (3 years). The paddle has never been mounted. The bike has been ridden primarily hard-pack desert and at Cahilla MX. The bikes in pretty good shape. Has 50% EBC Brakes up front and new 100% EBC in the rear. Also has Galfer braided brake lines front and rear (brakes much better). The engine oil is fresh with Maxima 530MX synthetic and Lucas synthetic add. Trans oil is good, running Maxima 80wt MTL. Needs grips and levers (if you don't like them short). When the throttle cables are replaced I would also replace the throttle tube. I had a spare but can't find it. The side plastics are good but scratched. Some Factory backing numbers would look just fine. They're in Temecula, CA and run about $60 for the front and sides. Seat is really good, original. Front tire about 80% and the rear about 50%. I have the owners manual to go along with the bike, it has some pretty good tuning info. I will also include the original set of fork springs and I have a set of new softer top out springs (medium) for the front forks as well (depends on rider weight and skill level). I think I may have the original rear spring. Running the DID 520-ERT non o-ring gold chain. I cleaned, lubed and reset the chain this afternoon. Also fired it up and ran it some at the house track today. Runs very strong, a lot of torque! A little scary with a sticky throttle though. Hope that helps. ----------------------- I was mistaken on the bars, they're ProTaper. On the throttle sticking, I think the problem is that one of the throttle cables was getting pinched between the frame and the triple clamp. The cable came out of the flexible hold-down.
