allinthedetailsllc Store Classic 2004 Pontiac GTO with desirable 6 speed manual transmission! The classic Pontiac GTO From 1964 to 1974 Pontiac produced their muscle car, the GTO. The Pontiac GTO was relaunched in the United States in 2004, based on the Holden Monaro V platform. The revival of the GTO was prompted by former GM chairman Bob Lutz, after reading a Car and Driver review of the Holden Commodore SS. Car and Driver praised the performance of the V8 powered, rear-wheel-drive SS, but noted that even though it was one of the best vehicles that GM offered at the time, it could not be purchased in the United States. This brought on the GTO. The GTO was assembled by GM's Holden subsidiary in Australia. It was equipped with the Corvette LS1 ('04 model year) V8 engines, with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. GM contracted to produce a maximum of 18,000 vehicles per year starting in late 2003 and going through to the end of the 2006 model year. Due to the limited number of vehicles produced during its short 3 years of production, this car is sure to become as collectible as the previous 3 generations of the sixties and seventies, especially since the discontinuance of the Pontiac brand. Prices are already beginning to reflect that. This particular GTO is equipped with a rare color combination of silver exterior with a rich red leather interior with black accents. The color combination is beautiful. We want to note that when we purchased the vehicle, it had been smoked in, but we have thoroughly detailed and professionally removed the smoke odors. The interior’s condition is practically flawless, needing nothing, which is not found on lesser examples. The car has power windows and locks and an in dash 6-disc CD changer with the stock Blaupunkt stereo system. The audio in this GTO is wonderful! Mechanically, this car is an absolute blast to drive! Power is instantaneous, and the 6-speed transmission, which works flawlessly, makes for an even more enjoyable drive. The clutch feels strong, and remarkably these cars have really good highway fuel economy. With newer tires all around, this car is ready for its new owner. Issues: - There is a crack in the windshield. We can have this replaced at our wholesale cost for you.-Though not bad, it seems as though the alignment is slightly off.- Contact me regarding the auto-check reported frame damage. Please note there are no accidents. The title is clean and clear!- Some small scratches, and a couple of small dimple like dents above passenger rear wheel (see pics). Besides these issues, the car runs and drives great. Recently we installed a new battery, changed the oil to a Mobil 1 full synthetic, the AC blows ice cold, and now professionally detailed, this car is ready to be driven by its new owner and enjoyed!
